Max rolled over in the grass and listened to the sounds of the others sleeping. The queen had not returned and neither had Torik. He needed to sleep, but the thought of being pulled into the Shadowlands and coming face to face with Isolde was keeping him awake. His bag jumped. Alice's doll had not come out since going through the portal. He lifted his head at the sound of Snoop moaning and twitching in his sleep. Davi was curled up next to him. Snoop jolted and thrashed. Davi rolled over in his sleep and patted his brother on the back. It seemed to calm Snoop down, but only for a moment.
