I stood there, gawking at the doorway like an i***t. Completely and utterly frozen, my body refused to move, my brain refused to function and I couldn't even remember how to form words anymore.
It was like the universe had it in for me, and the moment I find a spark happiness, a tiny glimmer of light, something or someone just has to take it away.
This time I was the one who stupidly took it away. I was the one who put it out because I was an i***t.
I should have been more careful, I should have known, I should have done more.
