Dora was down for a few minutes. A hooded figure stepped out of a dark corner and walked towards the werewolf. "One werewolf down, we saw her undergo the transformation process and we are certain that she is one of them." The phone beeped and the figure buried it under his coat. "Woah! She is so huge!" the figure exclaimed. He squatted at her level and rubbed his palm on her furry body. Black vans drove roughly to the scene surrounding the hooded figure and the Werewolf. The door swung open, and a masked man stepped out of the van, with a lit cigarette dangling at the corner of his lips. "Where is it?" He asked in a deep hoarse voice. "She is here" The hooded figure from earlier stood up. pointing to the werewolf. The masked man walked to where it was and examined it. "Are you sure it isn't a fake?" He asked. The hooded figure shook his head, "I saw her undergo the transformation process" He assuredly responded. ★ ★ ★ ★ "In five sentences explain to me Ivy," Layla said, pacing around the room. It was decorated pink with Barbie features. A middle-aged woman dressed in a sleek, black dress with a pristine white apron and prim hair band that created a classic maid look, stood with her arms folded in front of Layla. She wondered within her why Ivy now Layla acted like a psychopath. "You are hard to describe," the maid said, picking her words slowly. Layla stopped abruptly, creasing her brows, "That is not an explanation". She sneered The maid heaved a huge sigh, "I will leave you alone with yourself ma'am Ivy", She said, turning around to leave. "Wait!" Layla ordered, quickly. The maid's legs froze to the ground, and she turned sharply to Layla, "Can I help you ma'am?" She asked sarcastically. Layla creased her brows, "Ivy was exceptionally nice to you humanoid creatures". She muttered under her breath. "Pardon?" The maid heard but pretended to feign not to have. Layla walked to where she stood, "Please help me, this is not my life. I don't know anything about this body". Layla spoke in a single breath The maid stood still blinking her eyelids consecutively. Layla moved her fingers to the roughly packed ponytail and scratched it gently. "As time goes on you will understand me, but please brief me about this girl," Layla pleaded, rubbing her hand all over her body. "Who is she? Her personality? Her darkest secrets?" Layla asked. The maid's cheek dropped with a frown. She then burst into wild laughter clutching her belly. "Poems, Novels, Movies. They are already messing with your brain", she said in-between the laughter. Layla rolled her eyes, "You can go now". She sighed, waving her head. The maid vanished from the room, her laughter faintly drifting alongside her. "What is going on?" Nicholas's voice came suddenly, making Layla's heart skip a bit. "Huh?" Layla turned sharply to him. "Are you alright?" He asked. Layla nodded her head. Nicholas's lips were moving but she wasn't able to hear a word from him. Her heart suddenly began to thud uncontrollably against its ribs and her feet quivered in fear. She was experiencing the feelings she felt in her previous life when she was feeling in the claws of death; Fear and danger. Layla squatted to the ground clutching onto her chest as her heart rapped the more, She pushed Nicholas suddenly, making both of them land on the floor. Almost immediately, the chandelier on the ceiling dropped to the ground, the glass surrounding it shattering into pieces. Layla gasped in shock, using her palm to shut her mouth. Is this how her last life would have ended? "Are you alright?" Nicholas asked to check Layla's body for any sustained injuries but there weren't any. "I am fine" Layla responded, rising to her feet. "You were like a superhero back then," Nicholas said, beaming with a smile. Layla nodded her head, her mind had already wandered far away from the room, she was in another universe of endless thoughts and questions. "You were like a character from the fictional drama - Wander Land, Abigail. She could sense danger beforehand", Nicholas explained, demonstrating with his hands and also with body gestures. Layla's eyes lit suddenly, "What was your last statement?" She asked, rolling her finger for him to rewind. "Huh?" Nicholas responded, rather confused. "Your last statement?" "She could sense danger beforehand." Layla smiled evilly, rubbing both palms greedily. "Maybe I have gotten my powers back!" Layla screamed in excitement. She jumped on Nicholas and hugged him tightly, almost choking on his breath. ★ ★ ★ It was a dark and stormy night, the kind of stillness that made every rustle of leaves sound like a scream. The shadows played tricks on the eye. Some took different shapes of fantasy monsters, and the sounds of the night - crickets chirping, owls hooting, and branches creaking, adding to the eerie sense of foreboding. The howling of wolves could be heard from a distance away as they tried to gather in their park. Layla appeared suddenly in this scene, moving like a seasoned detective. When she was sure that no one was bugging her privacy, she walked normally. The full moon was about to appear. Layla couldn't stop smiling and chuckling. At last! She would live her last life like she had always dreamed. The moon appeared slowly making Layla's heart rap in excitement, she felt butterflies flutter in her stomach. Taking a deep breath, Layla took the last step and shut her eyes, spreading her arms. She could feel power scourging down her veins, it made her more excited the more. ★ ★ ★ ★ Elvon stood up suddenly from the Divan sofa, his eye color turned plain white and his arms moved backward, he fell to the ground and started convulsing. Remington rushed to him, trying hard to revive him. "Alpha Elvon…" Two identical female twins raced to Elvon, also trying to revive him by shaking vigorously. "She lives…" Elvon's hoarse voice echoed in the room, accompanied by flashes of thunder. Then he passed out.
