Chapter 9The news arrived during a conference with some of our allied ambassadors. Dar was sitting to my left watching the meeting, making security and military notes. Her tablet made a funny noise. She looked up in surprise and checked it. As I watched her eyes widened and her expression just froze. She very slowly looked toward me and grimaced.
