The sudden cut in the telepathic connection between him and Charles rendered Arthur to freeze on his spot. He blinked his eyes, feeling lost, before he called his Rose’s name again. Once, twice, yet the result is still the same. At that moment, was the time when Arthur was convinced that something was wrong with Charles.
He immediately shifted his telepathic communication to Mikaela, his spy who was sent to Wicker territory to keep an eye on Charles. Luckily, Mikaela connects with him right after the telepathic connection is built.
