The Chase and the Fall Carter burst into Liam’s office, his face lit with excitement. “We found them, boss.” Liam shot up from his chair, his heart pounding as he strode toward Carter. “Where are they?” “They’re on an island, isolated, but they won’t be for long.” Liam didn’t wait for another word. Within the hour, his men had surrounded the island, moving in like shadows, combing through the dense trees and rocky shorelines, searching for their prey. Gary’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out, glancing at the screen, his face darkening. Liam was here. His worst fear had come true. He spun around to Elsa, who was busy gathering supplies in case they had to flee. But it was too late to cover their tracks. They had to run. Grabbing her wrist, he yanked her toward the back
