NEW DISCOVERIES
‘Oi, come and have a look at this!’
Lillian and Florence took their feet off their sewing machine pedals at the sound of the man’s shout.
‘What do you think that’s about?’ Florence asked, staring at the back door.
Lillian rushed outside to see. One of the builders was crouched beside a hole he’d been digging, his shovel flung on the ground beside him. Nicholas hovered above, trying to peer in and see what the man was pointing at.
‘What do you reckon it could be? The man lifted a corner of the mud-clogged fabric.
Florence appeared at Lillian’s shoulder. She seemed excited. ‘Buried treasure! What is it?’
