CHAPTER 22 CELEBRATION They were married on the Hamiltons’ back lawn beneath the arch laden with bougainvillea. Mercifully, Alice slept in Dorothy’s arms throughout the whole ceremony. Peter and Stephen took up their duties as pageboys, standing by Nicholas in front of a large group of gathered witnesses.
