If looks could kill, I would say that the mutually assured destruction between Alastair and Daniel would take place. I could see the look of happiness on Daniel's face when he saw me enter the kitchen fade quickly when he noticed I was holding Alastair's arm. Then it turned angry.
"Momma!" Luther ran up to me distracting me from looking at Daniel. Hugging me tightly. I hugged him back. Holding back tears that he was okay. I kissed the top of his head. "I heard you had your first change. How are you and Drake doing?"
"Great! Alastair is teaching me how to be a wolf better. Drake can't always take over."
"Good have you eaten breakfast?"
"Yep! I have to get to school though or Miss Val will be very upet. I was tardy twice already."
