no: noun used to indicate that something is quite the opposite of what is being specified. 6 pm 'Do you like him?' Maybe. 'No.', I replied looking at Jonathan His eyes met mine and lingered on them for a moment. They're not the same brown eyes I'm used to looking at. 'I think... I think you should forget about him... Rose...' 'Why?' 'He's not-nothing...', he said, looking away. 'He's not what Jonathan?', I questioned, sitting up in your seat. 'He's not who you think he is.', Jonathan said exasperatedly. 'Oh really, what do you think I think of him?', I asked, getting defensive. 'f**k, Rose, just calm-' I slammed the car door shut and started walking away. Running after me, Jonathan tightly held my wrist and I immediately reacted. 'DO NOT touch me!' Jonathan was surprised at my temper. Apologising, he enquired, 'Has he even told you about his past?' 'Yeah.' 'Did he tell you about Aria?' 'Who?' 'Did he tell you about his anger management issues?' Anger management...? This sounds too familiar... 'No...' 'Did he tell you about... His dad...?' 'Yes.', I said, assuringly. 'The full story?', Jonathan pushed. 'I don't know...' I thought Nicholas was opening up to me, turns out, he only told me only a sliver of the entire web of secrets he had woven. Sighing, Jonathan said, 'Get back in the car, I'll take you home.' 'You have to tell me what you're talking about first...', I pleaded softly. 'Just stay away from him, please...', Jonathan said, looking into my eyes, making sure not to touch me. He walked back towards the car and started the engine. You gulped thinking about everything he said. 7 pm 'Thank you for taking me out, I had fun.' Jonathan scoffed, 'Really?' 'Really, you took my mind off of things.', I smiled genuinely. 'Good.', he said, pulling up near the academy. I took my bag from the backseat and then hugged Jonathan. 'Had fun, kitten?', a deep voice roared from the outside of the car. I jumped back in your seat and watched Jonathan get down from the car. 'Thanks, Jon.', Nicholas smugly said, leaning against his bike beaming at Jonathan. 'Leave her alone from now on, Nicholas.', Jonathan said gently. 'Why? So you can have her?', he retaliated, the smirk never leaving his face. 'What?', I asked. The two of them looked at me before looking back at each other. Jonathan was taller than Nicholas, but he didn't seem to show it. Nicholas exudes confidence and Jonathan was seemingly timid in front of him. 'You have some f*****g nerve coming here, Nicholas.', I said, surprised at my tone. He looked at you and his eyes softened. For a split second, he looked regretful. Only for a second though. 'What the f**k did you tell her Jonathan?!', Nicholas yelled, pushing him back. This seems all too familiar. 'I didn't tell her anything, Nicholas, SHE'S HURT!' Nicholas's eyes full of fury switched when he set them upon me. 'SHE'S HURT BECAUSE OF YOU!', Jonathan yelled in his face. I flinched at the scene I witnessed. 'Was hurt.', I corrected Jonathan, 'I WAS hurt. But not anymore.' I left the two hotheads, making my way back to my dorm.
