Nicholas's Point of View
The way she moves is like an actual swan. Her grace and her strength radiates across the room, even to this dark corner where I'm situated.
The first time I laid my eyes on her, she looked haughty and snobbish. Can't say it didn't turn me on, but when she laid her eyes on me, she looked so... Shy. Her eyes met mine and I saw softness and purity in them. I felt her body tense from where she was standing, probably because I was coming across cold.
Good, Nick, keep it that way. You don't want any trouble.
When she dances the whole room stops and stares. They gape and gawk with the eyesight of a hawk, not taking its eye off of its prey.
She's soon going to be my prey.
Because I was doing the same. She was perfect, a little too perfect. Every move of hers was overthought and executed technically correct. Even the way she walked was prim and proper.
As much as I enjoy watching her here, I'd like to see her move her body in other ways.
What am I even thinking? I should stop, this is bad.
'Nicholas please stay back after class.',
My thoughts were interrupted by Mr Alexander.
I f****d up my turns today, I was trying to focus but all I could do was focus on her.
Stop, Nicholas.
'I'm sorry to make you stay back on your first day but I thought we could just work on your pirouettes so that you're up to par with the others in class.'
*BEEP BEEP*
The teachers' phone beeped and he read the notification. Looking around the classroom he spotted the girl that was just about to leave.
'Rose!' he said and she turned around.
It was her.
Rose. It suits her.
'Would you please help Nicholas with his turns, I have a meeting with the faculty.' He said.
'Oh, um, sure..' she squeaked.
Well. This is great.
I got up and started practising again.
'All right, there's your issue,' she said after watching me for a while.
'You're looking around everywhere, just focus on one spot and whip your head around. You'll lose balance if you look anywhere else.'
Oh, babe, if only you knew how distracted I am because of you.
I tried again.
'Better' she said quietly and moved behind me.
'Lower your frame', she said and gently rested her fingertips on my bicep and lowered my arm.
I just stared at her in the mirror. Her fingers were soft and her presence so close to me, I wasn't allowed to think.
After we were done I thanked her and she left.
She left the room, but not my thoughts.
Maybe we could just be friends?
5 pm
She came out from the dorms and made her way to her friends, ignoring me. I don't know why but everything from her head to toe looked different in casual clothing. She had a petite and slightly curvy form, which was different for a ballet dancer, refreshing, nonetheless.
Not to mention, hot.
Friends, my ass.
At the bowling alley and their team was up, I could see Jonathan get close to her...
No, not again.
Her eyes caught mine but I looked away.
Rose got up to go to the washroom, without realising, I followed her.
She came out and I said, 'So you're ignoring me now?'
She didn't seem surprised and walked up to her. I could smell her strawberry scented hair.
Cute.
Her mouth opened but Jay interrupted us.
'Duty calls.', she saying coyly and walked away.
When did she get so much confidence? Two can play at this game, kitten.
We walked back and while the other team was playing Bree came up to me.
'Let's go out after this is all over, just you and I.', she smiled brightly.
Bree was the type of girl who could show you a good time. She was social, had sparkling eyes and the perfect dancer's body.
That's probably a good idea, get my mind off Rose. But tonight the boys and I are spending some time together.
I laughed, asking 'I'm busy tonight but maybe another time?'
'Sure, here's my number', she said giggling at nothing at all.
*PWOCK!*
The sound of the pins clashing against each other made me lift my head up to Rose, who's standing there with her eyes closed as Jay hugged her and the others screamed.
'They won, we're screwed.', Thomas said laughing at Tiana who was fuming at the sight.
Dares were given to everyone except me, I waited, resting back on my chair, for the team to decid, until Jay looked like a light bulb struck him.
'Use a cheesy pickup line on any of us.' he said not losing his smile.
Well, Jonathan already dared Bree so I can't put her in another embarrassing situation.
I turned to Rose, as I didn't really speak to any of the other girls.
'Is your name strike? Because you're a perfect ten.', I directed it at Rose who looked at me with wide eyes.
I sat down and didn't really care as the others laughed.
I did state a fact.
Before she left I pulled her to me, 'This isn't over.'
I'm in deep s**t.
9 am
She swooped her chocolate hair into a bun atop her head, as she danced some of the stray hairs escaped the bun and brushed her shoulders as she moved.
I walked over to Rose casually when we were told to find partners.
I called her kitten, it suits her.
She's such a gentle girl but she probably holds some fire inside of her. Thinking about that side of her intrigues me so much.
How I want to turn you inside out, Rose, see the darker side of you.
I'm just scared the same thing will happen again, I'm scared to feel again.
I'm scared you'll break me.
As we danced I kept looking into her eyes and she had no problem with it. I had to steady her as she moved around. She was a pure beauty when she danced. Her fingers were soft and her body warm. I smelt her strawberry scented hair again.
Why am I even paying so much attention to her? Watching and noting these little details about her.
Ugh, get over it.
But perhaps taking her out wouldn't be so bad? What have I got to lose?
Other than your mind, Nicholas?
'Meet me outside at 10, I'll show you, kitten.', I said before thinking.
I left after that, trying to recover from what I just told her.
I'm an i***t.
9 pm
'What do you want to watch?' Jonathan asked me.
'I'm going out.', I said while grabbing a clean shirt.
'With who?' Jay asked curiously.
Since we moved to the city just a month ago, none of us had made friends yet.
'Rose.', I said, looking at Jonathan.
'Oh, so you like her now?', he questioned me.
'Maybe.', I replied grabbing my keys.
'Don't f**k around with her.', he said before I left.
'What did you say?', I asked, turning around.
Since when do you care about Rose, Jonathan?
'Calm down.', Jay said, not in the mood to deal with us.
'Are you sure you want to do this, Nick?', Jonathan challenged.
'What's the big deal, it's just one night. I don't care much.', I said.
'I'm just saying, don't f**k around... She isn't like...', Jonathan sighed, 'She doesn't seem like... Ari-Other girls...', he said, reframing his sentence again.
'What was that? Do you like her, Jonathan?', my blood boiled as I spoke.
Jonathan didn't answer. He was afraid.
Not waiting for his reply, I left the apartment, slamming the door.
