suit: noun a set of outer clothes made from the same fabric, designed to be worn together, typically consisting of a jacket and trousers or a jacket and skirt. 10 pm Tiana saw where I was looking. 'Oh there's our table! Let's go.', she dragged me by hand and manoeuvred through the crowd. At the table sat Thomas, Mary, Jay, Jonathan, Nicholas and some more of Bree's friends from the academy. Everyone was dressed incredibly formal. 'The ballet boys clean up well, don't they?', Mary whispered, pulling up a chair next to us. But I was too busy staring at the boy sitting across the table from me, to reply. He's ignoring you, you should too. 'Rose, Tiana!', Jay said, running around the table to come hug us. 'Haha, hi, Jay.', I said sweetly, hugging him back. 'How are you? I hadn't seen you since-' 'SINCE CLASS.', I loudly said. Tiana and Mary were right behind us, listening in. 'But I didn't come to class today, I was talking aboOWW!', I stopped J mid-sentence piercing his foot with the heel of my shoe. Tiana and Mary looked at us weirdly. He's talking about Saturday. The day I embarrassed myself in front of him and Jonathan. 'I'm going to get drinks, what do you guys want?', I asked, before anyone could open their mouth. 'Cosmos!', the girls grinned. I regret even asking. Trying to find my way to the bar, I lost myself in the crowd. 'You're going the wrong way.', an annoyed voice said as the person snatched my wrist. Stop touching my f*****g wrist. I don't like it. Flinching, I turned around to see who came to aggravate me now. 'Oh s**t, sorry.', Jonathan said, dropping my wrist instantly. 'What do you want?', I asked. 'I'm here to help.' 'With what? Why do you assume I need help? I told you this morning that I'm fine.' 'Stop jumping to conclusions, babe, I'm here to help you with the drinks.' Oh. The drinks... WAIT, BABE? No, no, thank you. 'The bar's this way.', he led the way. All of a sudden there was light. Once the people moved out of the way, I was met with the bar. It had four sides, all sorts of glasses hanging from the top and stools all around it. In the centre were two men, dressed in tuxedos, doing tricks with booze and Boston shakers. I watched them in awe, as we got nearer to the counter. I sat on the stool and watched as one bartender threw his shaker in the air, catching the other one's shaker. 'This is so cool.', I said placing my chin in my hand, gazing at the little show. Jonathan chuckled at the fact that I was so easily amused. Everyone clapped once they were done, my applause being the loudest. 'How can I help ya?', one of the men came up to us and asked. 'Give me two cosmos, Troy.', Jonathan casually requested. 'And what'll you have?', he looked at me. 'Um, coke, please.', I said, smiling at the bartender, who I now know as Troy. 'Coming up! Same for you Jonathan?' 'Same for me, Troy.', he said, laughing. 'You know him?', I asked Jonathan once Troy left. 'Uh, sorta. Why aren't you drinking?' 'I don't drink.', I said, sharply. 'Why? Come on, it'll be fun.' Oh, I'd be a millionaire if I had a dollar for every time someone said that to me Jonathan. Your 'babe' will never drink. 'Never have, never will.', I recite the same line whenever anyone asks. 'Why?' 'What's this?', I asked, pointing to something that looked like a small glass on two ends. My change in subject discussion was a success. 'It's called a *jigger. It's to measure alcohol, specifically while making cocktails.', Jonathan said, standing up, leaning his back against the bar. He faced the crowd as he spoke to me, 'It's derived from the American word- thingamajig, which means an object or device that has no name.' I laughed at him and he smirked, looking back at me. 'Say thingamajig again.', I said, biting my lip, trying not to laugh in his face. Jonathan's face turned serious, he came closer to me, a little too close. His eyes dropped to my lip. I was simply transfixed in his gaze. I could feel his minty breath on me. 'Thingamajig.', he said, seductively. I couldn't help but cry out in laughter as I leaned my head back, almost falling off of my stool. 'Here're your drinks.', Troy said, placing four glasses on the table, interrupting my laughing fit. 'Wait, what about Nicholas and Jay?', I asked. 'They're not drinking tonight.' 'Oh, how come?' 'Because I'm drinking.', he said nonchalantly, taking his beer and both the martinis with him. I followed suit with my coke in hand. What does he mean by 'Because I do.'? As we walked back to the table, someone bumped into me, spilling half of my coke on the floor. I just watched the liquid and slice of lime on the ground, holding the glass away from me. 'Ooh s**t, I'm so-' 'Jason?', Jonathan said, peering at the man who spilt my drink. Wait, what? I looked up to find Jonathan in Jason Kim's arms. What the hell? They know each other? Jonathan knows THE Jason Kim? 'Hyung, why are you here?', Jonathan asked, smiling at him giddily. What the hell is a hyung? 'One of my friend's said that it was someone's birthday and they wanted me to come, I don't really know.', Jason shrugged. I cleared my throat loudly, still standing in front of them like an i***t with half a glass of coke, directing their attention to me. You don't even like coke, get yourself together, Rose. 'Oh right, I'm sorry, let me buy you a drink.', Jason said, while studying my face, 'Wait, haven't I seen you somewhere?' He remembers! I internally swoon and respond, 'Yeah, um, I returned your pen when you came to the dorm.' 'Ah yes, the woman who's mightier than the sword and the pen.' I smiled at him dreamily. 'You guys have met?', said two voices. One belonging to Jonathan and the other one belonging to... Kai?
