What kind of game was she playing here? I had only been gone for a few hours, but now she was suddenly onboard with this? Or at least part of it. It confused me very much. It was clear our fight today had unleashed something in her, but I had been certain that when I came back, she would finally be ready to get the rejection over with.
Instead, it seemed like I had piqued an interest in her. She was at least willing to talk about it, which said a lot, actually. Still, I didn’t want her to be a part of this.
“What does it matter?” I questioned.
