Chapter 31: Going For A Run

1515 Words

-Phoenix- I went for a run while Hope spent time with Harper and Angela. Despite initially hesitating about letting her go alone, I felt reassured after moving her into the room across the hallway from mine. So I allowed her to join them, finding comfort in her proximity to the other women. It was important for her to have companionship, yet I couldn't deny the longing to be near her myself. My wolf, in particular, seemed restless, torn between the freedom of our run and the instinct to protect Hope, our mate. I kept reassuring him that she would be safe, emphasizing the necessity of our run. Although Hope brought me peace, I couldn't ignore the different energy pulsating through me—an energy that desired to be spent on mating with our little mate. But I knew I had to restrain myself.
