Asher' s POV

After interigating the rouge I had seen in the garden below Layla's room,I couldn't help but think how did the rouge know where her room was. Could someone inside the pack be leaking information or did someone at the party see her running to her room after I thought that pack member a lesson. I had so many unanswered questions and I needed a lot more information than what we got from the rouge.

Caleb : Alpha Asher ?

Asher: Don't call me that, you know your like the brother I never had

Caleb : I know but it is what you are.

Asher: I hope layla is ok.

Caleb: Luna layla has been resting since last night and you need to do the same.

Asher: you mindlinked Arora didn't you?

Caleb: Yes, but she mindlinked me first.

Those two were getting closer by the minute and I couldn't help but become concerned with the thought of them mindlinking each other when she was at school.

Asher : I'll pretend I didn't hear that, I'm taking the rest of the day off until I can think about how that rouge knew where she was

Caleb nodded his head as I got out of the car, I went upstairs to find Layla in her room lying in bed and sleeping. she looked restless and bothered. Her hair was flushed all over her face, no no no !!!! She was groaning in a low voice. I had heard this many times before and it had become a nightmare to me as it was to her. I knew what would come next, she stood up with her eyes still closed and began sleep walking. Since knowing about her sleeping habits I would stay at her bedroom door to keep her from doing something strange or going somewhere. I had always been the one to stop her from leaving her room so after falling asleep I would stay in her room and sleep that's until she caught me sleeping in a chair and decided to tell mom and dad I wanted to scare her in the middle of the night i didnt tell them about the situation and she didnt seem like she knew about it her self.i thought it was the least i could do after her parents died, so I stayed up to keep an eye on her. I stood up and used one of my hand to snath around her waist. she leaned in closer to me Then her sweet lovely voice whispered Mate, I was shocked but happy she said Mate once again, I replied I'm here, don't worry my sweet Luna I'm here to protect you. I was pleased but angry with my own words coming from my mouth. I lifted her up bridal style and brought her to the bed, i realized my hand was still around her waist but I loved the feeling and her scent was intoxicating I feel asleep at the taught of her being close to me.

Laylas POV

The amazing smell of rosewood hit my nose and ,the woodsy earthy scent of Sandalwood was intoxicating, slightly sweet, dark, the musky-earthy aroma was captivating I grabbed my pillow and sunk my face in wow this pillow smelled phenomenal I don't remember it smelling like this in the morning. My focus shifted to the hand placed around my small waist , I turned to look behind me and it's Asher sleeping, I should be angry but instead I'm happy he's next to me, he looks tired . Of course he is he was up all night interrogating that rouge while I was playing sleeping beauty. I leaned in and kissed his forehead thank you I whispered in his ears. I wanted to take a final glance at him but his eyes were already open looking at me my heart was beating fast, he looked so handsome and his scent was making it harder for me not to look away. I should have gotten up earlier , his grip got tighter around my waist pulling me closer to him. I taught he would recognize his actions but it got complicated when he placed him self ontop of me , he moved closer to my face and buried him self in my neck inhaling my scent, he's so close it's causing me to breath heavily. I close my eyes it's amazing how good it feels, I felt his lips on my neck kissing me then sucking on where his mark should be , I let out a soft moan. He seemed pleased with the sound he heared and placed his other hand on my dress leading up to my thigh I hear my wolf Rena say he wants to mark us, What I said out loud, Asher looked at me as his eyes widened. I'm sorry he said and got up to walk towards the door, he then looked back at me you need to eat. How did eating get into this i said to Rena you ruined the moment she replied. I fell into the bed as I watched him leave.

Family dinner

Asher's POV : I had told my self I wouldn't try to look at her again but that's all I could do. I couldn't get close to her like my wolf Alex wanted and what I wanted she was my mate and I had to get use to the fact that it wasnt going to change just like she wasn't going to change hating me. It made me angry I know she hated me but I didn't know why I had to hate her. I had already invested the afternoon with stearing at her but looking wouldn't be able to satisfy the burning sensation of making love to her even if it was there on the dinning table. What the hell is going on with me ? I can't believe I wanted to mark her when we were upstairs actually i wanted to do more than just that.

Layla's POV

Asher was stearing at me and i didnt know what he was thinking, but i decided i would challenge him to a stearing contest yes it seemed childish but it might be the only thing i could win for now. At first it started out so competivtive but i was already admiring hin He was handsome from the depth of his eyes to the gentle expressions of his voice. I smiled to myself hoping he couldn't see from the blank expressions on my face. It was like he lost himself for a moment in my eyes searching for something but I didn't know what. I felt like I was being drawned in to him as if something was coming over me. I was shaking as if I was nervous I could hear myself breathing heavily . Mate. I heard my self say for the first time. What is going on. Asher was pulled out of the trance we had found our selves in. He stood up and walked away. I felt so humiliated, I knew what I had done and everyone was stearing again I was the center of attention. For once I was thankful that I was the Luna, enjoy the rest of the night everyone they all got up and bowed yes Luna layla thank you. I headed in the direction of Asher maybe he was confused as to what was happening between us.

Asher' s POV

I taught I was loosing my mind when layla said Mate, i knew I wouldn't be able to control my actions. I got up and walked away to get away from her intoxicating scent which didn't seem to help when I realized she was following behind me, unbelievable I needed to get away, why was she making this worse for me. I quickly went to my office avoiding the questions I knew she would ask, I went inside and closed the door then a sweet angelic voice said

Layla : Open the door Asher

Asher : I've got a lot of work come back latter.

Layla: please Asher

I knew I couldn't control it when she said my name, I opened the door and when she entered I closed it again....

Layla : Why do you keep running? Is it because of what happened upstairs, because we both know it means nothing

Asher: your right it meant nothing, but this will.

I approached her until she was against the wall, putting one hand on her waist and the other running through her hair, she didn't seem to mind and I couldn't help but become more obsessed with the thought of kissing her, I couldn't help my self and moved closer to her cherry lips, i felt our lips press together, i never knew kissing her would be so satisfying and I wanted more i depened the kiss not wanting this moment to end. I felt her hands pressed on my chest and pushing me away , her eyes widened and tears flowed against her cheek. She moved forward

Asher- Layla I'm... I turned around not wanting to see her tears, she said she dispised me I felt my heart drop. My wolf Alex constantly screaming in my head she hates us and it's because of you. I was silent for a while not knowing what to say, I didn't realize she was gone I was ruining her life with each passing second.
