“Six months in and I can’t even pinpoint his location!” I accidentally broke my drinking glass. “I even had Berdor Niel take my place while I’m busy with stuff!” “Look, Suoic, be sure to thank our brother for taking over your work for now,” Ara shows me some data. “I’ve got some bits of information, but that’s all I can get.” “What are these papers? Give me some software!” I yelled as I cleared off the table. “Clearly I’ve been getting a lot of stress as of lately!” “We don’t even use software,” Ara sighs as she has her maids clean the mess. “We project our thoughts like the mortals’ computers would project visuals and we directly control it with our minds. I just made those papers after analyzing the details I personally gathered! You should be thankful that I used my own body to work!” “Yuck,” I spat on the floor, “As in your body?” “s**t, what are you a pervert?” she stomps on the floor. “I won’t let any mortal touch my body, for goodness sake!” “You gave me a nasty bit of idea though,” from my monstrous dragonfly-like appearance I turned into my blonde blue-eyed persona. “I’ll go into the mortal world and greet that mortal, myself!” “You are directly messing with the mortals’ destinies, brother…” “I don’t care because mortals are lower lifeforms!” Berdor Niel, our youngest sibling, isn’t the same as Ara and I. He looks more like a golden ninja bug sword wielder in appearance, but he still looks as monstrous as hell. If you analyze his name by mixing words, you’ll see that his name is the word borderline. That is a personality disorder, just like my own. Ara is more of a fear inducing bug, Ara Kuneida… arachnid. Treat her like she is the one called Arachnophobia. She is still a smaller dragonfly appearance wise, a spider dragonfly. All three of us have the ability to become faster in battle accelerating as it progresses. However, that MR. X completely ignored my ability like he is unaware of the power that I have! I can’t believe that the power of luck could save him. Hell, I can’t believe that he’s got powers! “Are you imagining again, Suoic?” Ara interrupts. “Let me handle this Mr. X for now. This person with a name so forbidden that the world he is living in is not aware that no matter how many times they say his name, write his name or even use sign language, it just won’t appear.” “What’s gotten your interest, may I ask?” “He’s beaten you even with all your cheats.” “I didn’t cheat,” I growled, “I just got the upper hand because I’m a god!” “Yet he is a mortal with a gift capable of defeating a god,” she grins at me to which gets me even more pissed. “Besides, you should work on those vehicle-related destinies out there. Niel is more inclined with the destinies of those who are involved with underground activities.” “What about your work on cheating destinies?” “Unlike you, I don’t use my own body to do the dirty cheating work.” She points at her maids, “I delegate the jobs to them. You even illegally put those who aren’t destined to die to their deaths because of that game addiction you have.” “So you’re a f*****g virgin, huh sister?” I raised an eyebrow, “FYI, you also make others cheat even if they’re not destined to cheat.” “Of course I am a virgin and the mortals have an innate instinct to cheat,” she opens up a portal. “Which reminds me… should we inform Patient-X about Mr. X?” “That chameleon of a monster?” just imagining his appearance disgusts me, “He’s not even part of the Nine!” “The Nine Overlords of the universe is just a front for us to tell the mortals that we are aliens instead of gods,” Ara slowly closes the portal after making it to the other side. “There are twenty-eight of us and I am one of the three beings with A as first letters in names.” As the portal completely closed, I headed back to my office to prepare for my departure, “There are 28 of us excluding Overlord Exyd, our dear old destiny father and creator, and I should be the one to inherit his throne!” - Ω - Ω - Ω - “Ms. Y, tell me again why I have to partner up with you and Ms. Z?” Mr. X whispers to her. “I can’t seem to get lucky with you around, you know? Wait, don’t you ever hang up on me! Hello? Goddamnit…” “I’m glad that he’s alive,” she sighs while watching him from a far distance holding a modified pistol crossed with a sniper rifle. Her right eye adjusting back to normal mortal eyesight of 20-20, “Seriously, who the hell are you Mr. X?” Like Mr. X, Ms. Y also has her own quirk. If Mr. X is gifted with the Destiny’s Coil in order to avoid death, Ms. Y is gifted with the Deus Eye to see whatever she wants to see. Her enhanced vision does not even affect her brain and body function. She has #$%^& hair and #$%^ eyes. Her vital statistics are as follows #$%^*&^%$%^. She’s @# years old and is currently single. Everything about her is a mystery just like Mr. X. “Keep asking yourself that…” Ms. Z waits for Ms. Y on the stairs. “It’s just become a habit,” Ms. Y tosses the car keys (big mistake) to her, “more like a code… I mean.” “We are after all, unique… the only one in all of the universes out there.” Ms. Z heads down. “And yet we are mortals…” Ms. Z is a teen at her legal year. Her blessing is the Background Extra. Take it like this, in a movie there are extras. However, in that movie she is an extra but her part in the movie was either cut off or the camera failed to capture her. She’s unnoticeable at all… that is if she uses her ability. No matter how beautiful she is and noticeable she is, when her gift is active, nobody even bats an eye at her. “You know about the time that Mr. X told us about the Destiny Seekers?” Ms. Y looks at Ms. Z, “That’s actually why we need to partner with him.” “No s**t,” she drives so fast without seatbelts on. Surprisingly, the police seem f*****g blind, “This is what Alpha Boss told us about, is it?” “Yeah we need to protect him, apparently…” - Ω - Ω - Ω - Flashback Sequence “Eventually, you will meet these gods and when you do meet them,” Alpha Boss explains to them while curiously holding mystical scales. “Protect each other’s lives. Those who are undiscovered will continue to maintain balance all of the verses out there. If you end up dying, you must realize that I have to find a replacement. That is why I want none of you to die.” “What about old age?” Mr. X raises a question. “That would be impossible for all of you here,” Alpha Boss tosses them new masks to wear. “You will age throughout the year from your birthday and then it goes on a loop again.” “Uh that sucks,” Ms. Z scoffs. “I’m forever eighteen!” “Moving on… these gods vary according to the Supreme Being they were created from. There are grim reapers, essence beings, destiny seekers, angels and devils, chaos etc. but I only want you to be wary of destiny seekers, the Verus, and the Sleep beings.” - Ω - Ω - Ω - Present Time “Why is he positive that he’ll be hunted down by these Destiny Seekers?” Ms. Z asks, “Has he revealed his powers?” “It’s much worse than that,” Ms. Y puts on some seatbelt feeling anxious of the fast driving. “He apparently beat the god in his game.” “You know, I’m proud of him for beating a god,” Ms. Z suddenly stops the car. “Even mortals can spit in the eyes of the gods. I’ll go on ahead inside the house… do you want coffee?” “Coffee’s fine,” Ms. Y slowly comes out of the door and pukes. “I w-won’t let you drive again… I f*****g made a big mistake…” “It looks like you need a sniff from this Eucalyptus Ointment I have here,” Mr. X extends his hands over to help her up. “We need to make this meeting in a flash because they might be already stalking me.” “I used my eye. Nobody is shadowing you… yet.” Ms. Y feels relieved from the smell of eucalyptus. “Can I keep this?” “Alright keep it,” Mr. X nods. “I’ll buy a new one for myself later. You know, I finally realized why we need to maintain the balance and order of the universe on behalf of Alpha Boss.” “Does it have something to do with the Destiny Seekers?” “Yeah, those fuckers are playing with the destinies of mortals!” “Actually, we are too… in a better way than those incompetent fools. How are we going to explain this to Alpha Boss?” Feeling better, Ms. Y gets in the house. - Ω - Ω - Ω - “Aren’t we going to report this to Mr. E?” Ms. Z looks at everyone inside. “He’s got the power to erase the memories of anybody else but us, right?” Lying down on the couch, Mr. X plays with Rubik’s cube. “Actually, we can do that but the problem is that Suspicious is not alone when it happened. Besides, I have no idea how to go back to that world. Also, he must not find out about you and the others’ existence.” “You have a point,” Ms. Y takes a sip from her coffee. “There are people who call themselves outsiders… but we are more than just outsiders.” “Yeah we are out of this world exactly,” Ms. Z tosses some gadgets over to Mr. X. “Your time is up. You have to move away from here. This will be the first area that Suspicious will be searching for you. I’m sorry if I won’t be able to take you away from here with my driving skills. I need to finish my mission first.” “I understand,” Mr. X sighs. “I’m still in the middle of my own mission. Maintaining the balance of the universe is our top priority after all.” “I’ll contact the others later,” Ms. Z looks at Ms. Y. “So, what are you up to now?” “I’ll be watching Mr. X from afar,” she looks at him and nods. “When are you leaving?” Finishing the cube, Mr. X heads to the door, “Right now.” - Ω - Ω - Ω - “DON’T MOVE! OR I’LL SHOOT THIS b***h!” “PLEASE DON’T SHOOT!” the woman cries out from the terror. “IF YOU SHOOT ONE OF US WE’LL KILL ALL THE OTHER HOSTAGES!” “ALRIGHT, LET’S NEGOTIATE!” the chief police officer speaks through the megaphone. “WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT?” “WE WANT A HELICOPTER PREPARED FOR US! WE WILL ALSO TAKE ANOTHER HOSTAGE TO ENSURE THAT YOU WILL NOT FOLLOW!” “ALRIGHT, BUT IF THERE ARE WOMEN AND CHILDREN INSIDE, WE WANT YOU TO RELEASE THEM FIRST!” “DON’T f**k WITH US!” the fugitive yells back at the chief of police, “THIS IS AN ALL-GIRLS SCHOOL YOU ASSHOLE!” - Ω - Ω - Ω - “What do you think?” Ms. Y talks to Mr. X through the atto-com, a communication device that looks like a small mole attached behind the ears. “According to Mr. G’s prediction powers, the purpose of these hired personnel is to sabotage the election by kidnapping the children of the mayor and the vice mayor.” Watching with the onlookers and bystanders who wanted to gossip over it, Mr. X surveys the scene. “So the politicians… are they corrupt?” “Didn’t you wear the gadgets handed to you?” “Well the meta-lenses might irritate my eyes, so I didn’t wear them.” “i***t,” Ms. Y sighs. “Take them out now so that you can use them to get into the archives.” “Can I use the internet too?” “Imbecile, the archives is better than the internet!” “Well, you have a point…” Mr. X takes out the lenses and wears them. “I have a quick question though… what are the repercussions if this kidnapping goes through?” “It may cause serious imbalance to this country that would affect the entire world,” Ms. Y sighs. “So if the kidnapping is prevented, then the world will be saved?” Mr. X checks out the archives. “So a corrupt politician versus another corrupt politician with ties to a terrorist organization, am I wrong?” “You are right,” Ms. Y uses her right eye to take a look at the number of terrorists inside. “Oh look, they’re releasing some of the hostages. There are fifteen terrorists inside and that one outside is the sixteenth.” “I’ve got a crazy idea,” Inside a public comfort room, Mr. X wears his hood and X-marked mask. “I’ve been planning this for a while now ever since that Suspicious is on to me.” “Usually, I say don’t do it. However, this petty organization is only a small scale problem compared to that Destiny Seeker.” Ms. Y grins, “Once you are in, you’ll have to beat the s**t out of that god until he gives up on you.” “He won’t give up but he’ll have to look for me forever in this world.” Mr. X grins, “the only problem is that we’ll be moving to another universe soon~” “I like that plan,” Mr. C joins in. “Listen, Mr. X, I’ll give you 3 minutes to take out the terrorists inside the school while I render all guns useless.” Mr. C is a middle-aged man having the blessing of Jamming Disruption. For weapons like gun, they’ll be jammed, for recording device and signals, they’ll be jammed as well, and for vehicles, they won’t work. Also, those mentioned aren’t the only things disrupted by his gifts. It’ll be sad for those with pacemakers… “Make it 5,” Mr. X rushes into the crowd. “These terrorist are mostly predictable at times, they will group all hostages at one spot and most of them will have to watch over their victims.” “Your 300 seconds begins… now.” Mr. C snaps his finger. “Excuse me~” Mr. X jumps over the police and charges towards the terrorist with hostage. “s**t, MY GUN’S JAMMED!” the terrorist tries to pull the trigger. Out of panic, he pulls out his military dagger to use it instead, but… “I’m already here at your side,” Mr. X whispers to the right ear of the terrorist. He crosses his fingers and rotates his forearm outwards, “Shot of Luck~” He delivers a left hook at the terrorist’s face that he gets immediately knocked out of the equation. Timing himself, he makes a rush towards the next terrorist he sees. Meanwhile, the police are still trying to decide what to do as they rescued the first victim and arrested the unconscious terrorist. “What’s wrong with all of my guns?!” the second terrorist tries to make his AK47 work, “s**t-s**t!” “Superheroes have this NO-KILL RULE~” Mr. X buries his right fist into the terrorist covered face as it bounces on the floor. “Who’s next?” A dagger is thrown towards Mr. X who doesn’t even have time to evade. LUCKILY, it misses him LUCKILY, of course. In shock, the terrorist who prized himself for being a sharpshooter throws another one again. One after the other, none of his daggers hit its target. “f**k THIS!” he yells, brandishing his last two daggers. “I’LL RELY ON MY CLOSE COMBAT SKILLS!” “f**k the no-kill rule,” Realizing his time is being consumed Mr. X throws the dagger at the terrorist hitting its mark in between the eyes. “I only have three minutes left!” “Drop your weapon whoever you are,” the terrorist places the tip of the dagger at one of the politician’s children. “I don’t know how you jammed our guns but if you want this kid to live, then I suggest that you’d surrender!” Mr. X laughs at the terrorist as his mask lights up with different colors while fixing daggers in between his fingers. “Go ahead and kill that kid. My mission is to kill all of you including the children, isn’t that so fun? There is someone else worse than you terrorists and that is me~” At the moment of doubt, fear clouds the minds of everybody inside and taking the opportunity, Mr. X throws all of the daggers at once, pretty dumb??? He doesn’t think so~ he is LUCKY, VERY LUCKY. Six more terrorists, including the one with hostage, are killed. “Impossible,” realizing that even the bomb they planted stopped working, the rest of the remaining terrorists decide to surrender. “Please don’t kill us! We have children!” “Ms. Y, take them out,” Mr. X sighs. “There’s no point in fighting those who have lost their spirit…” “As you wish~” Ms. Y shoots the rest of the terrorists. “What about the bomb?” “I jammed it permanently,” Mr. C answers. “Five minutes is over. I’ll keep touch… oh Mr. X and Ms. Y, GOOD LUCK~” “You heard that, dipshit?” Ms. Y prepares to leave the building she’s in. “I’ll be watching you from afar as always, Mr. X.” “I was just joking, my dear ladies. Mr. X is an emissary of order. If you just move out quietly in front and tell everyone I said hi~ “Mr. X waves at the girls and leaves the school, luckily, unnoticed. - Ω - Ω - Ω - “I found him,” Ara watches from her car while talking with Suoic on the other side, “or is he trying to lure us to him? Just tell us who you are REALLY, MR. X, Is it really that hard to tell?”
