Clara’s Point of View
I had never expected to find my true love. Sure I knew I had one; everyone does. But as nothing more than a handmaiden in the castle of Far, Far Away my world was small and the chances of coming across my true love were not great. It is incredibly rare for anyone but nobility or travellers to find their destined partner.
When I saw Lucian for the first time, my world stopped completely before starting anew. I was in shock, awe, disbelief, and love all at once. He was the single most perfect thing I had ever laid eyes on. He was so tall, self-assured, brooding, and handsome. His teeth were pointed, but to me, they were something different, unique, special. When his eyes met mine I could feel love and acceptance pouring from their every beautiful glowing millimeter.
