As Olivia, with her five years age child walked along the city’s bustling streets holding hands together public places started to appear behind their backs. The light played hide and seek through the skyscrapers, lighting up their faces as they passed along those routes of city that had become second nature to them. He it had been years since Olivia saw Joel. Their separation had tainted her mouth with bitterness, a symbolic reminder of the fallout when love crumbled under betrayal. She had plunged into developing her business and bringing up a child, resolved to afford them all the bright prospects. Rounding a corner, Olivia would stop for heart one beat after seeing standing at the sidewalk well-known figure. Joel’s apparent confidence seemed somehow lessened, his shoulders stooped and eyes unfocused. The data had not been favourable to him, and when he saw them again traces of fatigue and disillusionment lingered spitefully. For several seconds time seemed to stop as Olivia and Joel stared at each other. The years rolled off, and there she was slipping back into a moment of their youthful love—their hope alive neww before it had been broken. Joel’s voice came through the silence, softly yet wholeheartedly – Olivia! “It’s .. it .. a long time.” With the return of violent memories, unexpected as they were for Olivia who held her child’s hand so firmly. There was a time when she had loved Joel fiercely, enslaved by her love for him but the bride who ran away has left deep scars. It has, Olivia concludes her words that nevertheless do not contain any tremor of inward tumult."How have you been?" Joel paused, apparently weighing his words. “I have… I’ve seen my tides of fortunes,” he conceded, his eyes directed at the floor. “My firm; it collapsed. I lost all.” Olivia’s heart pulsated with a tounge of understanding despite what she had suffered from his hand. She had tasted the pains of failure, felt her hopes crumble away. She also had strength in the middle of strife; she built from nothing her company, and now has a life for herselfandher child. Olivia said, sorry to hear that her tone was not so harsh. “However, at times from the ashes of collapse new horizons emerge.” Joel gazed up to her a glimmer of optimism forming in his eyes. He admitted that he’d want to believe so, even though it rang in his voice with a note of doubt. Yet there seems no prospect if everything that you have strived for is lost. There was a silence between them that lay heavily in all the unsaid words and unfinished feelings. Olivia’s gaze settled on her young child, a mute witness of the life she had shaped for herself—a world born out of love and strength that only knows no surrender. And in that instant, she understood that even if Joel had been her past he was not hers anymore nor would be part of it. She had her own road, faced her own hurricanes and survived tougher than ever. Finally, Olivia bid good luck in a voice that was steady and yet firm as well. However, I have to depart. Be well.” One last time Olivia turned, head held high and child’s hand firmly in hers walked away. They vanished into the busy street and as they did, a sense of calm settled over Olivia—a promise that no matter what obstacles loomed on her path ahead she would face them with the same fighting spirit that had seen her through one of the darkest moments in life. With Olivia and her child travelling through the city, a settles over. She was given one day of walking, with Joel as a surprise and portended the stirring off emotions but now to reinforce her strength. Each step Olivia took instilled her with renewed vigor. She had dedicated her life to be greater than adversity; she created an empire, and the sanctuary that offered a child much love. Her past with Joel was essentially one of the chapters that had shaped her but which no longer proved to be defining. Only when they arrived—a lively park where people laughed and listened to birds chirping in the sunshine, hearing their echoes through trees leaves’ rustling sound while all around them looked like a colorful dreamland – did Olivia see her child gallop away from their path towards another group of children playing merrily nearby. She smiled and her heart filled with pride to see such boundless energy of a child who was enjoying herself totally. Completing sinking onto the seating bench near her Vicciy as an opportunity to think Olivia. She had indeed travelled a long way from the period of separation with Joel, though it was all filled shortcomings but this proved that she could d errightly. Joel-the encounter with him had been a reminder of the Samuel’s growth, how far she has come. She no longer needed his approval; she had her calm, and self assurance. Through the eyes of Olivia’s child playing, she found herself grateful for a life that had been built with hard work and love from all angles. Through all difficulties, she had not stopped to accept defeat but also meant nothing in the presence of these challenges that would still stand determined at her face no matter how badly. And through it, she had succeeded to make life for her full of love and happiness without any limitation. Watching the sun go down, Olivia sensed that hope had dawned upon her. Her future was bright and she could not wait to take it with open arms. She also knew with her child next to her and a hopeful heart, she was ready for whatever troubles will come. "Joel, I loved you so much and yet you broke my heart into pieces. Now's it's time for your returibution. You didn't just lose everything, I made you lose."
