I stand there looking at the man in front of me, he looks so familiar and not just because he was the one who stepped in and interfered with my dealing with Eric.
I have a feeling that I should know this man, that we are connected somehow and yet I do not and we are not. It feels weird, and I don’t like the feeling of being in the dark about something that I clearly should know about.
My phone rings again, pulling me out of my internal monologue on the man in front of me. I narrow my eyes at the man.
