Alpha Nicholas POV
Not long after father leaves, Emma starts to whimper and tears fall from her eyes. I have no idea what is going on but watching tears fall freely down her face breaks my heart.
Suddenly she sits up with a loud gasp, and then she wails.
I get up and sit on the bed next to her, embracing her and tightening my grip with every second that passes.
What the hell has happened?
It is hard to see her like this right now because she is strong and independent and yet here she is broken. This is breaking my heart just seeing her in this state. I just keep tightening my grip on her.
We stay like this for a while, Emma just breaking down in my arms. I do not know what to say or do but right now I need to be here for her, and even if it is just me holding her right now.
