CHAPTER 10After watching the men assembled on the tennis court and learning what had happened, Doug decided to circle back around the other side of the main building to where the trees almost touched the roof. He had a hunch that everything was going too perfectly and if so the logical place anyone would go would be into the surrounding bush. He had barely walked twenty metres along the back footpath when he heard some twigs breaking. Ahh, so someone was there! Trees were on his left and the building with unlit windows to the right. He sidestepped, bent down beneath low boughs and was glad his boots didn't squeak. The foliage was damp and water ran down his neck as he continued on.
