Ava I focus my stare on the now familiar glass bars and I am held captive by the hypnotizing golden color now reflected on them. I stand frozen in place, refusing to look away from the golden bars because I know what’s causing the change in color. It’s me. My newfound wings. “I have wings” I murmur to myself. I venture my gaze away from the bars and gasp as I notice the way the whole room is now lit up by the shining light coming from me. There is no trace of moonlight, only a burning glow that has painted every corner of this room and this tiny jail with a surreal bright golden light.  I take a deep breath and inspect my arms again, avoiding the obvious new-body part that I should be inspecting instead.
