A meal rich with the seafood Junima’s pups helped maintain and a long conversation afterward left them no closer to a solution. The hotel’s elaborate fairy tale decorations, sparkling light fixtures, and overly attentive service felt decadent after years spent in Mosslea’s utilitarian spaces.
Jim enjoyed watching the young couple marvel at everything, but it made him uncomfortable. Especially with trouble he couldn’t figure out how to solve hanging over his head, sinking into his tense shoulders.
