Where are you!!

I took my seat and started to go through the records in front of me. “Quite a long day it is” says Sandra dropping her steth on the table. “I thought your shift was over” I said to which she rolls her eyes, “ don’t even ask. Dean saw me dropping during the work hours and then he wants me to work for extra 6 hours as punishment.” 

“Oh my poor baby!!! I’m...... happy for you” I winked at her and we both burst into laughter. “See you, I have to go on rounds,” I say her and she picks her things up, pecks my cheek before she leaves. I went on my rounds checking the patients around and tend to cross that handsome senior back. “Someone seems to be in hurry!” He says smiling. “Aah.. yeah, kinda” I said smiling hesitated. “What’s so hurry? Where are you posted today?” He asks, “causality” I said raising my shoulders. I see dean on rounds and bid him bye wishing him good day. 

The rest of the day went normal. Me going through random patients and checking stuff on my mob. It’s 6 in the evening and my signing off time. Collecting my stuff and checking my duty for the next day, I started walking out of the hospital passing some random smile to the people around me. While heading back home, I stopped by a Walmart to collect some groceries. Not wanting to pick any unhealthy stuff, I walked near the vegetable section first. “Hey..” I was greeted by a familiar voice and turned back to see Alex, my neighbor. I don’t know much about Alex except that he’s damn handsome and good looking man which can be told by anyone who sees him. Besides that, I know him working in some MNC. Getting back to present, “hi” I greeted him back with a smile. “What are you doing in here,” he asked to which “umm... I’m here to rob the store but since you were here, I’ll do it some other time” I said firmly recieving a confused look from him and it seems like he have picked what I told “in that case, I can help you. Let’s do it together” he said. He just blew it. Didn’t he. We burst laughing and he continues, “ I’ve received some of your parcel this morning. It’s with me and you can collect it whenever you want.” “Okay.. I’ll collect it today” 

“Cool... by the way, do you want a drive home!?” He asks with smile. “Thanks, I’m here by my vehicle.” I say “yeah, I know you have a car. Just trying being nice” he raises his hands smiling and leaves. I complete my grocery shopping ending up buying a lot of junk stuff and reaches home. I sat on my couch resting my head on it and closing eyes before placing all the covers on the dining table. I open my eyes by the sound of message notification. It’s from my buddies planning where to go for the weekend in w******p group. I turn the data off not to interfere with their discussion as they end up planning something opposite to what I say and go to have a good warm shower. Coming back, I arrange the things I bought from the store in their place and started cooking. I open my fridge to see what to cook for tonight and gets distracted by the door bell. I open the door to find Alex, all dressed up, grinning wide with some parcel in his hand. Then is when I remember about it. “ I was just busy setting things back their order and completely forgot about this” I say smiling awkwardly. “That’s totally fine. I’m just going out and thought to drop your thing” he says handling me the cover. I nod taking it “do you wanna have some coffee or something..!?” I ask to which, “actually, I’m in hurry. Gotta attend some meeting. But will remember this coffee thing. I’ll have it soon.” “Meeting!! You mean date..?” I asked unknowingly. He laughs hard saying it’s just some Clint meeting and leaves. I stood there for a second and he gets into lift, facing in my direction saying, “don’t forget the coffee .” I nod n the lift doors closes n I shut the main door putting the parcel on the coffee table and enter kitchen. “Why on the earth do i need to know where he’s going” I scold myself a little and started cooking dinner. After supper and arranging the things for next day n cleaning everything out, I hit my pillow falling asleep.
