Julia's POV
"You're part of the cheer squad, right?"
The familiar voice made my heart stop.
I turned around so fast I nearly lost my balance.
Charles Harrison stood a few feet away.
For a second, I forgot how to breathe. His sea-blue eyes were fixed on me.A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
"I've seen you at the games," he said. "You always look like you're trying to say something."
My mouth opened but the words couldn't come out.
Every prepared conversation I'd imagined over the years vanished instantly.
This was Charles Harrison.
The Charles Harrison.
Standing in the same room as me Looking directly at me.
"I asked what brought you here."
His voice was deep and calm.
The kind of voice that made it impossible to think clearly i could feel my wet panties dripping.
He took another step forward Then another.
The distance between us disappeared.
My heart hammered so loudly I was convinced he could hear it.
The room suddenly felt smaller.
Warmer.
Fuck. The nigga knew what he was doing and I'm not going to back down.
I could see every detail of his face.
The color of his eyes.
The confidence in his expression.
The way he looked at me as if I was the only person in the room.
"Did you hear me?" he asked softly.
I swallowed.
"Y-Yes."
A laugh escaped him.
Not mocking.
Gentle.
And somehow that made everything worse.
Because now my heart was completely out of control.
"What were you going to say?"
I stared at him.
The words were right there.Yet they refused to come out.
For years, I'd imagined ...
He only smiled for three seconds and grab my neck with his right hand pushing my waist close with his left hand i could feel his chest the way he rubbed his lips against mine ohh my goodness. It was something else his hand went lower between my legs his lips on my neck. I could feel his thick hard d**k with my hand.
His voice was low.
"Should I stop"?
I didn’t know when the words fell of my mouth stroke me.
His arms were firm he lifted me put me on his couch.
And suddenly it felt real.
Too real.
Then—
BZZZZ.
The sound shattered everything.
Charles disappeared.The room vanished.
The dream crumbled around me.
BZZZZ.
My eyes flew open.I sat upright in bed.
Breathing hard.
Ohh f**k my underwear was already wet like it was soaked in a pool.
The afternoon sunlight streamed through my window.
Reality slowly returned. My phone vibrated again.
I grabbed it.My jaw dropped.Fifteen missed calls.
"Oh no."
The Titans game.I checked the time.
5:30 PM.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me."
My phone buzzed again.
This time it was a message from Juliet.
Juliet: Are we still going to the Titans game?
I immediately called her.She answered on the second ring.
"Finally," she said.
"Please tell me you're ready." I'm at Sophia's place. My eyes widened.
"Already?"
"Julia, the game starts soon."
I jumped out of bed.
Panic instantly replaced the dream.
"Don't move. I'll be there."Juliet sighed.
"I'm literally waiting for you."
I grabbed the first outfit I could find and rushed toward the closet.
Because if there was one thing more terrifying than dreaming about Charles Harrison—
It was arriving late to a game where Charles Harrison was actually going to be.
"Finally."
Juliet's voice came through the phone.
I was already halfway down the stairs.
"Don't start."
"I'm not starting anything. You sound like you're starting something."
"Because you're thirty minutes late."
I groaned, She wasn't wrong.After the dream.
After the missed calls.
After realizing the Titans game was about to start...
My entire evening had turned into chaos.
"I'll be there in ten minutes."
"You said that fifteen minutes ago."The line went dead, Rude.Very rude.
I grabbed my keys and practically ran toward my car.
Twenty minutes later, I pulled up outside Sophia's house.
Juliet was already waiting. And immediately, I knew we had a problem.A very big problem.
"Oh no."Juliet frowned."What?"
I stepped out of the car."What are you wearing?"
She looked down."A sweater."
"Exactly."
"It's comfortable."
"We're going to a basketball game."
"So?"I stared at her.
She stared back.Completely clueless.
How could someone so intelligent know absolutely nothing about social situations?
The gray sweater covered most of her figure.
Her hair was tied into a loose ponytail.
No makeup.No effort.Nothing.
And somehow...
She still looked beautiful.Annoyingly beautiful.
People always talked about me.The outgoing twin. The social twin. The prettier twin.
What they didn't realize was that Juliet could outshine almost anyone without even trying.
Which was deeply unfair."What's wrong now?" she asked."Nothing."
"You made that face."
"What face?"
"The jealous face."I gasped.
"I am not jealous."Sophia laughed from the porch."You absolutely are."
Traitors. Both of them.I pointed toward the car.
"Get in."
Juliet rolled her eyes but obeyed.
Twenty minutes later, the massive Kingswell Arena appeared in front of us.The parking lot was packed.Students everywhere.
Fans everywhere.
The atmosphere buzzed with excitement.
My heart immediately sped up.
The Titans were playing their biggest rivals tonight.
The arena lights illuminated the evening sky.
Banners hung from every corner.
And right in the center...
A giant image of Charles Harrison.I smiled instantly.
Juliet looked up.Then looked away.
No reaction.Unbelievable.Absolutely unbelievable.
"That's him?" she asked.I nearly crashed the car.
"What do you mean, that's him?"
"The basketball guy."
"The basketball guy?"
I was offended on Charles' behalf.
"He's Charles Harrison."
"Okay."
I gripped the steering wheel.
Sophia burst into laughter from the backseat.
"Julia might actually cry."I considered it.
We finally entered the arena. The noise hit immediately.
Music blasted through giant speakers.
Students filled the stands.
Cheerleaders prepared near the court.
The energy was electric.I loved it.
Juliet looked overwhelmed."I can still leave."
"No."
"I wasn't asking."
"Still no."She sighed.
Then something caught her attention.
A group of young children stood near the tunnel entrance.
Each held a basketball.Waiting.Watching.
Hoping.
"For what?" Juliet asked.
"For the players."
A few seconds later, the tunnel doors opened.
The arena erupted. The Titans were here.
The children immediately rushed forward.
One by one, players stopped.Signing basketballs.
Taking photos.Laughing with fans.
Then Charles appeared.
The roar that followed nearly shook the building.
I smiled automatically.There he was.
Number 19. Captain.
Superstar.Future legend.
Charles Harrison.
But something unexpected happened.
Instead of walking past the children...
He stopped.
Kneeling in front of a little boy in a wheelchair.
The entire arena seemed to quiet.
The boy handed him a basketball.
Charles signed it.
Then spent nearly a minute talking to him.
The kid's smile became so wide it looked painful.
Juliet watched silently.
For the first time all evening...
She seemed interested.
"That's nice," she admitted.
Victory.
Small victory.But still.
A victory.
The players continued toward the court.
Charles laughed at something Paul said.
Then suddenly—His head turned.
Directly toward our section.
I froze.
Thousands of people surrounded us.
Yet for one strange second...
It felt like he was looking right at us.
No.
Not us.
At Juliet.
My smile faded.
Juliet didn't even notice.
She was busy looking at the court.
Meanwhile, Charles slowed slightly.
His eyes remained fixed on our row.
Paul said something.
Charles looked away.
Then both disappeared toward the locker room.
A strange feeling settled in my stomach.
Uncomfortable.
Unwelcome.
And impossible to explain.
Because if there was one thing I knew for certain...
Bringing Juliet tonight might have been the biggest mistake I'd ever made.
