Chris POV:
Asa turned away from Chris, opening their bedroom door and Chris followed on instinct.
Something pulled him towards Asa, he couldn't resist if he tried. Not that he ever wanted to try again.
He never wanted to leave Asa's side again.
“Come and get me," Asa said softly before sprinting out of the back door and toward the woods.
He listened as Asa's bare feet swished through the grass. The night hummed with the sound of cicadas and twigs snapping under Asa's feet; it sounded like a symphony. The still night promised danger, promised predation.
But the night moved around them, the ambient noises a melody. Something about the whole world singing moved Chris. It felt like the world sang specifically of their love.
