I hesitated to get in Kayden's car.
“Alana.”
I told myself not to panic that it isn’t what I was thinking. There was no way Kayden...my sweet Kayden would be capable of something like that...no way.
“Alana...please talk to me.”
"I’m just trying to process everything that just happened.”
He held on to my hand tightly,"I know there's alot going through your mind right now, but I promise I'll handle everything. Everything will be okay, I swear to you."
On our way home, I kept replaying what Kane said to Kayden...what mess was he talking about?
I turned to face Kayden,“Why was your brother saying all of that.”
“I wish I knew, I don’t even know what he was doing there.”
“He got me a lawyer.”
