I didn’t say a word for several minutes after we had pulled away from the curb in Lilys town car and pulled into the heavy New York traffic. In the front, Frank was sat silent next to Lilys driver but every now and then I saw his eyes flick to me. They were full of sympathy. Ad I hated it.
