Misha breathed out.
“I am not aborting my baby. Whether you stay or not, this baby is remaining.”
He nodded. “Eemma. I am really sorry. I am happy you did get away but… do you and your neighbor talk frequently?”
Misha almost rolled her eyes. Of cause he’d ask that.
“You had my phone the entire night. Why didn’t you check?”
“Babe-“
“I don’t even know his last name. And if you didn’t realize I walked inside his house and left using the backdoor then jumped back into my yard. I was sitting behind my house the entire time waiting for you to go.”
He paused trying to recall If he had seen movement yesterday.
Misha put her handbag on the reception desk.
“I think we should take a break. Stress is not good for the baby.”
“Misha-“
“I have to focus on my business. By the way Luna is my best friend and I’m never going to end my friendship with her because of you. The very same reason you stay with your wife is why I stay with her. The next time you put your hands on me Timothy trust me I’m going to open a case against you. You will explain to your perfect wife what happened.”
Timothy swallowed at her firm voice. “Do you want money to start getting baby clothes?”
“No. I am going to open an account for the baby. You are going to put the money in that account.”
“Ok, we can do it today.”
“I will do it on my own and will communicate with you. You can go.”
One of her employees walked in the boutique. Timothy cleared his throat then sighed getting close to her.
“I love you. I promise what happened yesterday will never happen again.”
“Bye.”
She walked to the racks to check the sizes she had left of her dresses. Timothy slowly walked out. He sat in his car for a few minutes. The Misha he knew would have cried and he would have found a way to make things right.
His phone rang, he looked at Charity calling and picked.
“Charity..”
“Hey, have you arrived at work?”
“Almost.”
“I am sorry. I am just a little paranoid. I don’t mean to accuse you of cheating. I am really sorry baby.”
“Its ok. I wanted to tell you that I might work late tonight so don’t wait up. I have a late meeting with the shareholders..”
“Ok, Timmy I am really sorry.”
“Yeah. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
He hung up then drove off calling a number.
“Timmy..”
“Laitaka I need a car. Do you have something more lady like?”
“Uh yeah, there is aCX53. Red ebile…”
“Perfect, I am coming by to see it.”

Charity sat in her office staring at her phone. Something about the call made her fidget on her chair. Her door opened then her colleague peaked in.
“Charity, breakfast?”
Charity laughed then got up. “I need to stop fat cakes. Kana I want to slim Thato.”
Thato laughed as Charity walked over. “Lets join Virgin active.”
The ladies walked our of het office and walked to the canteen.
Thato looked at her watch. “Our CFO has arrived.”
“I can’t believe they wouldn’t hire one internally. Some of us have been here for years. Why couldn’t they at least give us the position temporarily to see if we are capable.”
“Nna mma I long gave up when I heard that they were bringing in this girl from the UK.”
They walked inside the Canteen chatting.
Charity shook her head. “You are going to find she’s been offered thousands of Pulas.”
“And she probably is going to need babysitting.”
They laughed. A lady smiled besides them. “Ladies..”
They turned to her and smiled. Charity chuckled.
“Hi, wow you are pretty. Are you looking for someone?”
She laughed. “I am just looking around. Thank you, you too.”
Charity laughed. “Ke feela gore ke mokima. (I feel I am fat.) I want a slim thick body like yours. Are you on diet?”
“I was but stopped along way. The problem is committing.”
“Right? I will start then stop after a week.”
“Tell me about it, I’m Luna Baaitse by the way. Nice meeting you ladies.”
She walked away headed towards where their HR was standing. The ladies watched them walk out of the canteen. Thato chuckled.
“That’s the new girl. Did you hear her accent?”
Charity looked over at Luna and bit her lower lip. “Do you think she heard us?”
“Probably.”
Charity breathed out embarrassed. “I wonder if she’s telling HR.”
Thato chuckled rolling her eyes . “That would be childish. Anywho, nna I knew they would hire the pretty one. It’s always the pretty ones.”

Luna finally sat in her office that morning. HR smiled.
“So what do you think?”
“I am impressed. It’s bigger than I thought.”
“Exactly, and that’s why we needed you as soon as yesterday. The amount we have offered you is just for the following 3 months while you are on probation. It will be increased by 15% upon you officially starting. Anything else you need clarity on?”
“No. I think you have clarified everything.”
“Perfect. We will give you today and the rest of the weekend to settle in at your house and familiarize yourself with the company. Pass by IT so they can give you your laptop together with your phone and log you in the company server. I am looking forward to this Ms Baaitse.”
Luna smiled then got up and shook her head. The HR walked out. Luna grinned happily throwing herself on get chair. She turned looking over the parking lot and rest of Gaborone through her glass walls.
Her phone rang, she turned and reached for it. She looked at the south African number and stared at it for a while, probably a scammer.
“Baaitse GBV center Hello?”
The caller laughed. “Hey..”
Luna paused then laughed.
“I trust your first day is going well.”
She smiled. “Tumelo.”
“Hey.”
“After God, fear a man who wants to have s*x with you.”
He laughed. “Who told you I want you? I just want to be friends. Is that so wrong? You don’t have a lot of friends Luna and you could do with two.”
“I don’t need anymore friends.”
“Trust me, you do. How is it going?”
“I heard two ladies gossiping me without even knowing me.”
“Welcome to Gaborone where people hate you without even knowing you. Don’t let it get to you.”
“I won’t. I’m not moved by gossip. I’ve been through so much that nothing can bother me in a work place.”
“That’s my girl.”
Luna smiled immediately then leaned back. “I have to get to furniture shopping. Bye.”
“You are going to need a car to move around.”
“I’m getting a cab-“
“You need a car. Wait there, I will have someone drop off a car for you. Friends are important Luna… bye.”
He hung up. Luna giggled holding get phone. She thoughtfully dialed Misha.
“Madam CFO..”
“I’m about to knock off to do furniture shopping.”
“Oh, should I pick you up?”
“Tumelo is arranging a car for me. Can you believe it? I know he only wants to sleep with me.”
Misha laughed. “You can do with some s*x Luna. Two years is a long time. I’m sure you are as good as a virgin. You have nothing to lose.”
Luna laughed. “I know how to make myself c*m. There is no need for-“
“Ng ng, dic is very important Luna and you do behave like a dic deprived girl. You have a temper and I understand because being horny is painful. Get the dic, I am sure its top tier and allow him to put in the work. You are benefiting both ways.”
Luna chuckled then smiled. “I really have nothing to lose…”
“You don’t. The trick is to discard him before he can.”
