ECHOES OF LOVE AND GUILT

EPISODE 2

"I need you to do something tonight, this is the address" my boss said, handing me a piece of paper that contained the address

"What's the order sir"

"This is the photo, that is Mr Maxwell and I want him dead" he said handing the photo to me, I really wanted to know the reason why he wanted this man dead, for the past 2 months has been working here, I've only been ordered to kill the employees because some of them either run away with money or leak company information,but this is Mr Maxwell I'm being ordered to kill, he's not even an employee.

I can't even think of refusing the offer unless I wanted my family dead because the deal is"once you are in,you are in", I'm still trying to find out the cause of my dad's death and I can't risk putting my mom and my brother or Gabby in danger.

I left the boss's office with so many thoughts in my mind, why do I have to kill Mr Maxwell?, was this a personal grudge?, does he have the same case with My Father?

I got to the Maxwell's residence, he is indeed an influential man. According to the boss, he was best to go in around 10:30 p.m. because that was when his place was less guarded.

Immediately it struck 10:30 p.m, I climbed over the fence and shot the two security guards in front of the main door, with a silencer gun, then I slowly walked into the house, avoiding the security guards in there and then into Mr Maxwell's bedroom, he was living alone because his wife and son lived in a different house from him.

I was surprised to find the room empty when I came in, I was still looking around for him when I fell to sharp pain on my arm, I've been shot, I thought around to see who it was and it was Mr Maxwell.

"The company sent you to kill me right, I already knew they were going to come"

"But how...." I thought to myself still lying on the floor grinning in pain,he ordered two of his men to tie me to a chair then he dismissed them

Thankfully, I always have a knife under my sleeve, I slowly slipped it out and cut the rope when he's attention wasn't there then I grabbed my gun which was on the floor and short his leg.

Long story cut short, I managed to cripple him , I didn't get the time to kill him because his guards rushed in, I jumped through the window and run to the gate with about five of his Men chasing after me, the gate has already been opened for me because the boss promised to get a backup for me.

He dragged me to the side and shot the guards as they came out,then we ran to a safer place,we removed our masks to breathe properly and lo and behold,it was Sam, Gabby's boyfriend

"Sam!"

"Claire!" We said together.
