We were both surprised to see each other,i didn't believe Sam was actually doing this too.He brought out a piece of clothing and tied it to my arm to stop the bleeding from the gunshot.
"Sam,what are you doing here" I asked surprisingly
"What do you mean by that, I'm doing the same thing you're doing,I'm working"
he held my hand helping me up
"I have a reason for doing.....
"The same way I do have my own reason" he interrupted
"C'mon Claire, let's go before they catch up with us"
We walked back quietly with an uncomfortable silence,I was still wondering what reason woul made Sam do this Kind of job,I decided to break the silence
"Does Gabby know about this"
"I'm meant to be asking you that, she's been your best friend for ages but we just started dating a week ago" he looked at me waiting for an answer
"Well,she doesn't know,I don't want to tell her about it till I'm ready to let her know.....so please don't tell her anything"
"Why the f**k would I tell her I work for a company and I'm partially an assassin as if she would hug me,give me series of kisses and tell me to go ahead"
I almost laughed when he said that but this wasn't the time for it and he actually said the truth,what would be Gabby's reaction when I told him about my work
"C'mon,let's go through this path so we can meet Doctor Philip to treat your wound before it gets infected"I just nodded and followed him
"How long have you been working for the company" I asked
"Well,its been like two years now" he answered
" What about you?"
"Just a year ago" i answered and we continued walking in silence till we got to Doctor Philip's house

"Where did you go yesterday night, and why didn't you go home and also how did you get injured" Gabby bombarded me with questions as soon as she saw me in school
"Gabby ,can you calm down and allow me answer your questions one at a time"
"Better....your mom called yesterday night, worried that you weren't back,I had to lie to her that you were at my place ,that you couldn't call because your phone was off"
"Thank God you did,I love you so much"I said giving her peck then decided to go ahead with my fabricated story
"We closed late yesterday and on my way back,there was an exchange of gunfire between two gangs and I was hit by a stray bullet, someone helped me treat it so I slept over at her place"
"A bullet?, c'mon Claire,I've already told you to stop this part time job already,who knows what might happen next time,please just quit the job" she pleaded
"Okay,I would stop going"
"Promise"
"I promise"i said with guilt because I knew because I knew I wouldn't keep to the promise,if i quit now, everything would be in vain and I would never find out the truth
"Lets go to class"
"Okay" I answered holding her hands as we walked to class.
