Whiz
This morning I had to return to the club. I had work to do. I dropped Yelena back and home and had a prospect bring her car back. Any excuse to have her on the back of my bike.
I was floating on cloud nine. I had finally found someone who I clicked with. She was everything I could have asked for. Nothing could bring my mood down.
Well, maybe this bullsh*t with the Russians. This mystery man causing issues with our shipments. Today Ivan was coming to meet with us. We told him we had information and he wanted in.
I entered the church room and sat next to Ace. I could feel him staring at the side of my head. I finally turned to meet his eyes and he smirked.
"You seem very happy. Date go well? Haven't seen you in days."
"It went perfect. And she let me tat her. Her first one."
His eyes widened. "Da*n man. That's serious. Vir*in skin? And you're intact, so I'm guessing Ivan gave you the go ahead."
"He did, after multiple threats of mur*er. But only if I hurt her. And I won't."
"So you claiming her? Am I finally going to see my brother settle down?"
"Ya, I'm claiming her. She's mine. She also may have a little bit of the same kin* I do. She gets off on pain."
His mouth dropped. "You're fu*king with me."
"Nope. I haven't pushed her too hard, but she definitely loves it. I'm going to slowly ease her into it, but she's the one. I can feel it."
He slapped my shoulder. "I'm happy for you, man. Seriously. Don't let her go."
I just smiled. I wouldn't. She was stuck with me.
The meeting started after Ivan and his second Mikhail sat. Neither showing any sign of emotion.
Hatchet slammed his fist on the desk. "Alright, let's start. Whiz tell them what you found."
"Well, I got a first name. I tried to dig but all I can tell so far is he's Russian. No records here in the states and his Russian record is difficult to get to. Pretty buried. First name is Arseni."
Ivan's face changed. So quickly, if you weren't looking you'd miss it. His eyes flashed in anger. He knew him.
"Ivan, you know him?" Ace asked.
He was silent. And then I finally spoke.
"Arseni. Arseni Pavlov. My brother."
My jaw dropped. His brother? Yelenas brother? I didn't ever know of a brother of theirs. And why was he fu*king with us.
"Why would he be trying to sabotage us?"
"I need to find my sister. Now."
"Ivan, what's going on?"
"Sabotaging us is just a side quest. He's here for her. My sister. He's going to try to get to her and if he does she'll be ruined. He's trying to finish what he started when she was young, too young to defend herself." Then he stopped. Looking around, knowing he said too much. And he did. Because now I knew.
That bas*ard had abused her. So much so that she harmed herself to not feel the pain anymore. And I was going to ki*l him myself.
We all ran out of the clubhouse to our vehicles. I jumped on my bike and sped out, kicking dirt into the air. My heart was racing. I slammed on the breaks and shot up the stairs. I could hear Ivan and the others behind me. I slammed my fist into the door.
"Yelena open the door!"
She threw open the door and I crashed her into my chest.
"Whiz what's going on?"
"I need to get you out of here. You're staying at the clubhouse."
"What? What's going on?"
Ivan ran up to us panting.
"Ivan, what's going on? You guys are scaring me."
"On vernulsya i pridet za toboy, Arseni."
(He returned and will come for you, Arseni)
Her face paled and she stumbled into me.
I don't know what Ivan said, but I have a feeling he didn't spare any details.
"No.no.no.no.no. He's going to get me. I can't. I'll d*e before I let him take me!" She was panting, barely holding on. What the fu*k did this supposed brother do to her?
"We're going to protect you until we find him. He's been trying to sabotage shipments to distract us. You'll be coming home with me."
"No. She's coming to the clubhouse. He'll know she's with you. She's safer with us."
"Excuse me? She's my sister I'm protecting her."
"STOP!" Yelena shouted.
Yelena
I can't believe this is happening. He's come to finish what he started. To make me his submissive little wife the sick freak. And now I was being told what I was going to do by two of the most stubborn men I've ever met. Talking like I'm not standing right here.
"You guys aren't going to tell me what to do. I'll go to the clubhouse. He's right, Ivan. He'll find a way to get to me wherever I go. He won't suspect me there."
Ivan looked at me like he was having an internal battle, resisting dragging me home.
"Fine. But if they can't protect you, I'll drag you home myself."
He turned to Hatchet who had been silently watching the debate.
"I'll send some of my guys to watch the outside of the compound. Please. Keep my sister safe."
"You got it, Ivan. We owe you."
"Alright, well bring her back tonight. I'm going to send a decoy car here. We'll have it stay while we pack you up and bring you to the outside of town in case we get followed. When we know, we aren't well switch you to another."
Sounded like a decent plan. I started feeling a little bit better. But the last words Arseni told me still shot around the inside of my skull.
"YA naydu tvoyu sestronku. I kogda naydu, ty stanesh' moyey. Nravitsya tebe eto ili net."
(I'll find you little sister, and when I do I'm making you mine. Whether you like it or not.)
I packed a few essentials as fast as I could. I felt him before I saw him.
"You ok vixen?"
"I'm fine."
I wasn't. And he knew it.
"It's ok to not be babe."
"I'm fine!" I snapped. I felt bad. He wasn't trying to push me. He just wanted me to know he was there.
Then I felt the tears silently fall down my cheeks.
He wrapped his arms around me from behind.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap. I appreciate everything you are doing. Maybe I should leave the state for a while. I'm putting you all in danger."
"No. You aren't running. And this is what my brothers do, and we've done it countless times in the past. Well keep you safe, and I want to be there with you. Im not letting him get to you, and I'm definitely not letting you go"
"You're staying?"
"Of course." He turned me around and kissed my head. "I'm not leaving you. Not ever."
Relief washed over me. I assumed he was dropping me off and going home. I don't know why. This man has proved over and over how sweet he is.
"Come on, let's get you out of here."
The plan seemed to work. It didn't look like anyone followed us. I hugged my brother and assured him I'd be ok. And then he took Whiz aside.
Whiz
"You keep her safe, man. I'm trusting you to do this. And keep your grubby mits to yourself."
Too late. These grubby mits had already been all over her. And would continue to.
He must have heard my thoughts. He slapped his forehead.
"Just don't knock her up. She has enough going on. You marry her one day you're free to do whatever."
I nodded and he walked away hugging her.
