I can't be in the palace right now. Lennox took Lotus straight to his bedroom, not giving me a moment to speak with her. I can feel him claiming her. Her pleasure mixed with his travels down what is left of the bond between us. No matter how hard I try to push their feelings to the side, I can still feel them.
I push out of the front door of the palace, letting the cold air seep into my skin and lungs. It is a welcome change from the stifling heat inside.
