The Day After: His Rewarded Prize

1702 Words
Spending the whole night running. The head of the vampire queen swinging around as it was dangling out of my mouth. Barely holding onto the hair. I stop in front of the tiny cottage, ready for an explanation and becoming human again. I barge into the witch's quarters and trying to coordinate her steps into her home. Sniffing around as I've found her scent to be everywhere on everything. Unfortunately, she was nowhere. I felt an overpowering range within me for the need to become my human self again. Feeling my humanity slipping away, I thrash the tiny cottage as I destroy every piece of furniture and all the bottled-up substances and ingredients. With the whole cottage destroyed, I ran outside for I needed to think. Knowing that I can't return back to my Kingdom for I am a monster I didn't want to frighten my people. I then catch a scent in the air as I follow it and it's led me to a bush that had a note in it. I reach in there and began reading. My King, I apologize in advance for my absence, but I had to run for the sake of my life. I can't turn you back into your human self. You're to remain a Lycanthrope until you've the meaning of your existence. To sum up the what I mean. You are to awaken the inner beast within you and he'll guide you to you're pillar of light.  In advanced aplogies for the creature you're forsakended. Sincerely, Castaniella Veneer. I've officially lost my rage. She knew that I'll never be my original human form, but she made me into this beast that she so calls 'lycanthrope.' What the hell is this lycanthrope anyway? I thought to myself. The more thinking I done, the magrier I've gotten. How was I supposed to return to my kingdom without anyone feeling threatended or frightened of me? I began to hear a woman's voice in my inner thoughts. Whispering into my ear. 'You vile beast! You've hadn't killed me yet for the vessel is still there lying on your bed chambers as we speak. Little did you know, without my body in ashes I'm able to reclaim it. If you so let any of my underlings catch my head. They'll return me back to my self.' She spoke sinister venom. Letting all that information sink in. I knew what I had to do from keeping my people in harms way. I had to keep this head somewhere safe and hidden where no monster nor' human could touch it. I push my rage aside and began running into the forest as I could hear and smell vanilla scent behind followed by hisses. Her underlings were tacking me. I had to move fast and swiftly for I did not want to be heard.  'Aaron, let me take over your vessel for now. You're not yet ready for my kind of power,' the beast spoke. I didn't know how he was able to keep talking to me. Was this the voice that spoke to me in the ball room while I danced with the horrid leech? How could I have not noticed? I could feel the beasts patience for my answer thinning so I mentally nodded and I let my self go free. Feeling as if I was floating, no lying on a softness beneath me as the darkness closed in around me.  That's when everything became silent, calm, and safe. Felt as if I was sleeping.  ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rex Maximillian POV* With the rest of the lycan's in our pack, we all did our usual celebratory events. However, this was no celebration. This was an awakening for our alpha, my father, has thought it to be as a celebration. I had a different perspective of it, for I felt the calling. I wasn't sure if was a who or what, but I have felt it for it was a strong call. Strong enough it felt like a forgotten bond. A bond that was unbreakable no matter the possibilties of chalnges or obstacles it may have overcame. I never told anyone for I didn't want anybody to think I was crazy. "Rex Maxmillian, please come," my father called to me from his noble seat just above the Thropian Councel members. This was a councel meeting of a celebration as every lycanthrope was arround and enjoying themselves. I gracefully walk up the stairs, my stance and form obviously spilling my alpha blooded aura. All the lycan's watched, the females in admiration while some envious os the males were drooling. I bow before my father, showing respect and stand beside him. He gets up from his seat and held out his hand. I grab onto it and he leads me towards the balcony. There he let go fo my hand. Looking down onto the busy crowd of some good conversation. "Ladies and gentle-wolves. Today's the day we celebrate for rememberance this day forward. The vampire Queen's now dead!" He shouted in triumph. A sense of pride expressful on his features.  The crowd cheered in and shouted while throwing their drinks around and into the air. "Now, we celebrate too. For my daughter to become the Luna of Lycanthropian pack!" The crowd cheered louder, chanting my name in unison. This meant I had to choose a mate or if I'm fortunate enough, my true mate. "Rex Maximillian, as your father and alpha. I lower myself for you to take your born-right place as alpha. Will you accept this task?" His voice spoke in such a tender seriousness. Seeking in my eyes for an answer. "Yes, father. I pledge and oath to my pack as their Luna and seek for a mate that I see fit for my people, in that they are my priority," I let myself poor my entire being into my speach, needing and wanting to sound like any other true Luna would. I needed my people to know they're under great care for I've always loved them. The crowd grew silent and became their Lycan forms. Bearing their necks in front of me to show their sign of submission. Their sign as respect, as they knew where they're meant to be unless promoted. I too let myself become my beast. Hearing the males admire my wolf's beauty as the silvery fur flows from my skin. The females had obvious envious intentions in their eyes. I let out a howl, my father joining and then the rest of the pack.  ________________________________________________________________________________________________________Aaron Lycan POV* I open my eyes and find mself in a small cave. The ground was cold and wet. I look down and found myself to be naked. Recalling what happened last night, I shook my head in denial and hoped it was only a bad dream, but I knew otherwise. It was still dark outside, not knowing my surroundings. I was somewhere foreign. "Where have you taken me?" I didn't know who I was asking, but I was hoping it was the beast within me who has always spoken to me. 'I've taken you where you're meant to be. To find the meaning behind this, you must follow your nose,' he said spoke in mind. I wanted to ask more questions, but I was interupted by a man who came out of the bushes giving me a look of confusion. "Are you alright, sir?" he asked, clear expression of confusion and shock. He probably thought i went through a rough time, but no. I am still suffering from it.  "Where am I?" I asked, my instincts telling me to be careful, cautious. His obviously unfamiliar, yet it was sedning me red flags. I stood my ground in case he may be someone dangerous, I didn't want to take my chance of running. "You're in the Southern Kingdom's land." He answered, taking a step closer. I held my hand up hoping he'd take the hint. He stopped and raised his hands high above his head. Showing no sign of threat. Still, I didn't know this man and I had  no idea why he was out here.  "I caught your scent, I was in my best interest of my duties to scout this part of our land." Hearing the word queen made me think about the vampire queen. That's when I began to realize her head wasn't anywhere around to be seen. "Sir, if you'll please calm down. I mean no harm to you, but I'm going to have to ask you to come with me," he put his hands up again in reassurance, but surely I didn't listen to care. 'Aaron, you must listen to him. I have a strong feeling about this,' the beast within me spoke. He sounded sure as if he needed to know. 'But what of the vampire's head?' I asked. 'Don't worry about that. I've hid where only I know as a place no mortal or immortal can go, but you and I. I'm not telling you how or where that is yet.' I sighed in defeat and then nodded to the man. He threw some clothes and I put them on. I've been mapping the ways he's been taking me. Checking for emergency exits in case I need to escape. We've entered a cave. Seemed to be small entrance at first, but once you make a couple turns the cave no longer is a cave, but looks to be as of a sanctuary. There were giant beasts walking about as there were humans.  The beasts looked to like me. A lycanthrope as the witch called it. Does that mean, the man knew who I was and what I am? But how? My thinking became interupted as the man pushed me towards what looked to be like doors. "Here you must enter, but be careful of what you say. He doesn't like liars," He said. I look at the doors and contemplate of what 'he' might be on the other side. I sigh, and push the door open. I enter and the entire room was dark. A scent so delicious it nearly knocked me over. 'She's here. I knew it,' the beast within me spoke. Who was this she?
