As Esme and I sat down for dinner, the atmosphere in the dining hall was lively, filled with the chatter and laughter of pack members sharing stories and camaraderie. But despite the jovial ambiance, my mind remained preoccupied with the events of the day.
I had tried to keep it in, but the memory of the cave still spooked me. I could still hear the eerie melody in my head, and I kept feeling like someone was watching me.
