As Alpha of the Shadowclaw Pack, the responsibility of ensuring the safety of my pack members weighed heavily on my shoulders. Every day brought new challenges, new threats to navigate, but nothing could have prepared me for the news I received earlier that morning.
Ryder was missing.
After Ava left for her training, I decided I needed to speak with him so we could discuss what happened earlier. The last thing I needed was for the news to reach the entire pack, and Ryder could be an i***t when he was angry. But when I tried to reach him using the mind-link, I was unable to do so. I tried again, but it was as if he had cut off every form of communication between us. It wasn’t until I searched the entire house that I realised he was missing.
