Finding You

Chapter One

 (FLASHBACK -2 weeks ago )

Kate

It seems as if it was just only yesterday when i had to bid farewell to the one woman who not only independently raised me but also taught me the values and morals one must uphold within society - Mom. Well to say the least i wish it was just "yesterday" but it has been more than 9 months since her death and i am pretty sure that she she would be proud of the decision i had made. So, I had finally gained the courage to quit delaying my AU Pair Application Interviews and complete the last process of meeting the Coxwells family (well virtually meeting the family  - that is as good as it gets). 

Ameila Coxwell, my employer to be and her dashing 4 year old son (of whom i will be looking after) resided in Kensington, London. As agreed upon with the agency and y employer, i was to depart from Chicago on the 1st of November and commence with my employment a business day after my arrival in London. To say the least, i was sort of shaking after the call but i couldn't say if that was excitement or fear of the unknown.

(CURRENT DAY)

Kate

Starving! That's how i am feeling right now. Damn! i hate the fact that i had to miss breakfast all because of this stupid flight and that i***t Graeme who could not be punctual. Well, if you must know Graeme and I dated for a steady 3 years until i realized that boat was sailing nowhere. All Graeme cared about what his successions in his personal and career life, and the sad reality i was not part of any of them. Sadly desperate times calls for desperate measures and as infuriating and patronizing it was to see Graemes face, he was my only option for a lift to the airport. So yes, irrespective of how late this ass was, i had to grit my teeth and shut my mouth for the trip to the airport.

(Flight Attendant) :" Excuse me Miss, flight 1107 will now be boarding to London."

Kate begins to continue stare, absent minded and blankly at the flight attendant until she snapped out of it.

(Kate): "Ah yes! Thats me, sorry about that. Got alot on this little walnut today".

She quickly hands her ticket to the attendant and swiftly moves towards her seat . As the cabin crew begins to announce that all seat belts needed to be locked in and that the plane will be taking off shortly, Kate reminisces about the past whilst staring out the little tiny window frame for what seemed to be for hours. As the plane engines begin to roar like thunder, Kate shuts her eyes and firmly places her hands over her tummy, as the feeling of thrill and fear begin to consume her thoughts. Kate knew that is was a large step of change and knew very little of what awaited her when she jumped off that plane...
