Returning to Colorado

When we finally made our way back downstairs, we found my mom and Ben in the kitchen laughing with each other while they ate chili dogs.  After we sat down across from the them, my mom smirked as she said, "I hollered up to let you know lunch was ready, but I don't think you could hear me over the other noise."       Instantly, I blushed a deep red while my mom winked at me and laughed.  Jackson leaned over and whispered, "It's okay, cutie.  That just means we were enjoying ourselves."  This did not help with the blush that was already taking over my cheeks.       Instead of responding to either of them, I made myself a chili dog with cheese and threw some chips on my plate, then started eating my food.  Jackson chuckled beside me as he made his own plate and started eating as well.
