I am grappling with the overwhelming need to prove Esme wrong. I don’t know what it is about people trying to label my feelings for me, but I don’t like it – even though I know she means well. Esme is still in the bathroom, so I don’t bother calling out to her about my absence as I slip on my shoes and head out of the door. It’s getting late again, and I have missed dinner. There is small pinch in my stomach that reminds me of this fact. I head up towards the top floor again, thinking Arun must be back from wherever he has been. It’s only an hour before room checks and I am in the mood to show him exactly how I feel about him. Up until this point, we have only made out.
