Adea I sit at the vanity but time stands still. It feels like it’s been hours but I know, it can’t have been more than twenty minutes that I’ve been up. When I’m ready, I unbolt the lock and pull open the door. Standing outside my door is Ava. “Perfect timing. Father sent me, he wants a word.” I don’t say anything.
