Within moments of receiving the gift her cheek was against his soft cheek and she was calling him by every kind of endearing name. He lay on his back for her and she rubbed the silky fur of his belly and he purred like a kitten. Looking at her shining face, so different from the face he had seen when he arrived, Maya wondered what she was thinking.
