The advent of the corona virus has seen nature temporarily taking away all the mosquito squadrons and species. The hunter mosquitoes, the worker mosquitoes, the orchestra mosquitoes and the stinging ones, have been on hold. The singing ones, the soprano, bass, baritone and you name it are temporarily on a tactical retreat to regroup and counter attack. You no longer hear the choirs of a battalion of mosquitoes on patrol appearing like ME-109 squadrons over enemy territory. Our human anti-aircraft devices, our hands and swats have grown rusty. We even have forgotten the co-ordinates of hitting mosquitoes with our palms. Even their frienemies, the hornets are difficult to find.
