Chapter 21 Compensation

1519 Words
Tiger’s men looked at each other and obediently stepped out as the order was given, confused though. They closed the door, guarding outside. "Boy, have you learned martial arts? Where did you learn the fighting skills?" Tiger seemed to have changed his personality at this time, the murderous look on his face replaced by a kind smile. Ryan was stunned by his suddenly changed attitude. Why is he so polite now? Where did I learn the skills from? I learned my strength and martial arts from the system. Can I tell you? No. "My master is a hermit from an Oriental country. He told me not to divulge any information about him." Ryan trumped up a tale. But Tiger seemed to misunderstand. A hermit from an Oriental country? It must be… "Oh, I see. Come on, boy, sit down." Tiger smiled as he handed a cigarette to Ryan, who waved off. "We wouldn't have known each other if we hadn't fought. I’d like to reintroduce myself. Tiger Watson, the head of Snitch Killers. Everyone calls me Tiger. You are?" "Ryan Melton. A student." Ryan said lightly. Although he didn't know the purpose of Tiger, he seemed to see a trace of scruple in Tiger's eyes. "A young genius. I’m sure we can be friends." "Oh? You won't blame me for hurting your young brother?" Ryan said in a strange voice. The smile froze on Tiger's face, and a trace of imperceptible ferocity flashed in his eyes. He soon recovered and said under the guise of friendship, "He has himself to blame. One has to pay a price if he did something wrong." Ryan didn't believe Tiger's nonsense, but Tiger was trying to please him, so he didn't press more. "In this case, we’re friends now," Ryan said with a light smile. "Good! Come on, have some ice tea." Tiger had never been so courteous to a boy. Ryan reached out and took it, and the two emptied the cup in their hands together. "Tiger, as for Brook Field..." Ryan didn't forget the purpose of coming here. "Though I’m responsible for this matter, I just took the money and work for my boss. The decision is in the hands of Soniry Group." Tiger dodged his responsibility and passed the blame. Soniry Group? Ryan frowned. He remembered that it was a family business, and Lewis Fowler's father, William Fowler, was Soniry Group’s chairman. If so, this matter was not easy to deal with. Soniry Group was a leading enterprise in the real estate industry in New Oodry. Ryan had heard some news about this enterprise on TV since he was in high school. Soniry Group was still a small company at that time, and it was reported that William Fowler was a philanthropist and had donated to a primary school. Unexpectedly, as their business grew bigger and as they earned more, they forgot to do good and even began to oppress the people. No wonder money was thought to be the root cause of all evils. At this point, Ryan couldn't help telling himself never to betray his own heart. "Nevertheless, you did the beating, right?" Ryan roused himself and spoke. "Yes, well. I’m really to blame for this. I’ll pay for all the medical expenses." As Tiger said, he took out a bank card and handed it to Ryan, "The balance of the bank card is about 40,000 dollars. It doesn’t have a password. Just take it as compensation for your loss. I’ll send people to pay for others’ medical fees later. What do you think?" "It's thoughtful of you. Thank you, Tiger." Ryan reached out and took the card with a smile. Tiger forced a smile, "Don’t mention it." "Well, I have to go. See you next time." "You are welcome at any time. See you." Tiger’s face changed as soon as Ryan disappeared behind the door. "f**k the next time!" Tiger cursed as he overturned the coffee table in front of him with gritted teeth. He vented his anger with such force that the condition of his injury got worse. He couldn't help it anymore and suddenly spat out blood. He tottered and collapsed on the sofa. Ryan was about to leave the bar when he saw Snake walking in his direction. At the sight of Ryan, Snake drew back uncontrollably, as if Ryan was a fearsome monster. Ryan, however, was in a good mood and ignored him. Watching Ryan leave, Snake turned and pushed the door open, striding into the room. "What happened, Tiger?" He asked in concern when he saw his brother sat there with a pale face. "It's okay. I just got some internal juries," Tiger sighed. "Why did you let that boy leave?" Snake complained, not knowing his brother was hurt by Ryan. Tiger ignored his brother's complaint and muttered, "The background of this boy may not be simple." Snake noticed his brother’s hesitation. "Are you going to avenge me?" He asked, shifting his eyes to his gauze-wrapped hand, a little anxious. "Don’t worry. We’ll get even. I promised our father that I will take care of you, protect you, and prevent you from getting hurt." Tiger set his teeth and his eyes fairly snapped their determination. "I will avenge you even at the cost of my life. But we have to take a long-term view on this matter." "You’re the best brother!" Snake didn’t know why his brother was so careful in front of a student, but he believed his brother would be on his side all the time. In his mind, his brother was the strongest one. Looking at Snake’s smile, Tiger felt that it was all worthwhile. He thought for a while and took out his phone. "Lisa, come to my office." After a few moments, a very attractive, groomed, blonde young woman opened the door. Her hips swung as she walked in. She was wearing the sharpest charcoal suit jacket and white shirt. The low-cut neckline showed a large amount of her cleavage. She looked immaculate. Her delicate face wore light makeup, blonde hair in place, and red mouth attractive. Her green eyes were bright and charming. Snake stared at the beauty in front of him blankly. He swallowed and licked his lips. "Daddy, you haven't come to see me for a long time." Lisa smiled at Tiger provocatively, looking very happy. Of course, she was not Tiger’s daughter, but she was saved by Tiger when she was an abandoned baby. He brought her up. She was very grateful and had been taken Tiger as her father since she was young. Although she didn’t like the evil smile on Snake who stood next to her, she didn't show it. Anyway, Snake was her uncle in name. She must show respect to him. "Lisa, how many years have you been with me?" "Twenty years." Lisa looked at Tiger with a movement of her head to one side. "I’ve been treating you like my own daughter over the years. I gave you the best food and clothing, sent you to the best school, and carefully instructed you. I’m so proud that you have become an outstanding girl." Tiger seemed to look embarrassed at this time. "Now, I’m in a bit of trouble and need your help." "Go ahead, daddy. You are so nice to me, and I’m glad I can help you one day," Lisa said firmly. "Well. I want you to go to Saint Pauls University, and approach a student whose name is Ryan Melton. You will report to me every day about him," Tiger said his plan. Lisa was a little puzzled, but she was happy she could do to help. “Okay.” She agreed without hesitation. "I will make the arrangement and send you in when the school starts. The rest is in your hands." Tiger patted the girl on the shoulder and said encouragingly. "Rest assured. I guarantee to fulfill the task!" Lisa said with a grin. Tiger’s face finally lit up with satisfaction. He was unwilling to make use of the girl, but his younger brother was worth it all. Snake stared at the girl’s graceful back as she disappeared before his eyes. "Tiger, why have not you given this girl to me?" Snake was a little puzzled. He wanted this rare beauty and mentioned it several times, but Tiger could promise him anything except for this matter. He sometimes thought that his brother wanted to keep the beauty for himself. "It's just not the right time yet. I promise you I will send her to your bed after this matter is solved." Tiger comforted his upset brother. Snake smiled wretchedly. The thought that this girl would moan beneath him excited him more. The two looked at each other and both laughed.
