Riley knew how complicated Winter was and how dynamic his attitude was, he was someone who was never easy to read but to declare he wasn’t going to help her friend because she’d been preoccupied lately, that’s just out of line.
“I’ve just been feeling a little down that’s all” Riley finally heaved her response after the intense gaze from all three pressured her into saying something.
“There has to be a reason for that” Winter was stubborn, and she knew since his child was no different, Kyle was just as stubborn, it must be genetic, Riley thought as Winter’s expression remained as tight as ever. His eyes were fierce with their normal hint of coldness in them although all she could feel from him was warmth and affection, but why did her pathetic heart still fret?
