Chapter 6-Pregnant

1768 Words
What do you do when a stranger barged into your home and spouts some bullshit, of course, you call the cops, that’s the most logical action to take but Riley found herself frozen in shock after the stranger turned out to be the same handsome stranger she slept with. Winter barged into her home shirtless and gave her the biggest shock of her life. “You’re carrying my child, get rid of it” His voice rumbles and her whole body shivers and though his tone was cold, indifferent and serious a little different from when she first met him, Riley reached one conclusion, he’s outta his goddamn mind. “What sort of bullshit is that?” Riley’s jaw dropped in shock because never in a billion years did she expect to hear that from him. She was yet to figure out how he walked in through her locked door, or how he even knows her place and why the f**k he was shirtless? But carrying his child? ‘Did he escape from a mental asylum or something? f**k…I can’t believe I slept with a mad man, such terrible fate for such a handsome face’ Riley was starting to panic, wondering what she can do while the man’s intense gaze stayed glued to her stomach and his eyes, they were almost glowing but that wasn’t the problem, she needed to figure out out to get away from this crazy stalker man at once, she was still trying to gather her thought when she heard the man’s voice “This isn’t good…he’s already taken form” Winter was it? Riley tried to recall his name as the man furrowed his bushy brows tight before he suddenly got closer. “Don’t come any closer!” Riley panicked and moved back instantaneously. “Look…I don’t have time for this” His voice sounded like a roar, it sent chills down to her toes, it was entirely different from the very first time she first saw him, he commands fear and she couldn’t stand it. Riley’s legs buckled under her and she slowly fell to her knees. Winter sighed deeply, exhaling as if trying to calm himself and it seems to work since Riley felt she could now breathe, and the instant fear she felt was gone, not entirely but just enough to be able to look him in the face. “I’m sorry I have to do this to you but it’s for your own good” Winter’s eyes were back to normal, a minute ago, he had a semblance with the monster from her nightmare, but seeing as he suddenly become gentler in words and action cleared Riley’s head. “What do you want from me?” It was impossible to hide the dread she felt, she was still sweating in the position she found herself in. Winter crouched and touched her face, gently while he wore a pensive look as if contemplating her question. “We can get to that later, it’s nice to know how you look like” ‘He’s smiling?’ Riley’s heart raced in her chest, she did think he was very handsome but with that smile, she couldn’t help the bewilderment she felt. “What I’m gonna do might hurt but I hope you can forgive me, it’s for your own good after all” Riley felt puzzled, ‘what does he intend to do?’ She wondered but was quick to figure as Winter moved his hands over her stomach. “I can’t let the child in you live” Riley gulped, a child? That’s impossible…but is it?. Riley start to recall, how tired she’s been for the past few days, and the previous week, she fainted in front of her best friend for no reason. Sasha and John had tried to convince her to go to the hospital when she woke up 10mins later while they were still panicking, she just shrugged it off, going on about how exhausted her week had been, that was the only logical explanation she could come up with at the time, but does that explain why she’d been eating three times of what she normally eat? No...so is she really pregnant? She has no idea. While Riley stood frozen in spot with her thoughts in disarray, Winter’s hands started to glow over her tummy so brightly she had to close her eyes for a second, while she was too shocked for words something even more shocking happened. Winter was thrown back, so hard against the wall that it left cracks that stretched out in circles. “Ah…that son of a gun” Winter groaned. Riley was shivering, watching that scene unfold in front of her felt like magic, maybe it is magic but she just couldn’t comprehend. “This is gonna be a lot more difficult than I thought” Winter sighed before getting up from the rumbles of the shattered wall. “Don’t…don’t come any closer” Riley trembled and Winter halted, tilted his head with a hand on his chin as if contemplating. “Look…I wish I could do as you ask but this is really important” Winter replied before closing in on her in a blink of an eye. ‘How did he get so close?’ Riley wondered before Winter put a hand over her stomach again, what comes with the contact of his hand with her tummy was a biting cold that overwhelmed her from the inside, but her body strangely reacted to the impact, layers of rune circles formed over her stomach before an explosive power burst from her and sent Winter flying back yet again, Riley couldn’t take it this time, her limbs grew weak and she got all queasy. Riley found herself falling again, how she wish all this was a nightmare. Riley found herself with that dragon again, it looks…angry, scared and when she tried to approach like she did in the past, some kind of barrier separated her from it, while it continue to let out a low growling sound as it stood back belligerently. Riley found herself slipping down the invincible barrier that separated her from the dragon before gathering her knees to her chest. “What on earth have I gotten myself into?” She muttered sobbing silently in her position before something touched her back, then she stood and turn to see the dragon right behind her, nudging her as if comforting her. Riley couldn’t help but smile at the action. “Thank you,” She mumbled reaching for his scaly skin as her head touched his. Then she woke up with tears in her eyes. Muffled voices sipped in through the closed door making it obvious they were people talking at her door. One of the voices sounded desperate while the other sounded hushed. “Where am I?” Riley wondered aloud. As the unfamiliar bed roof stared back at her. The room's interior was unlike any she’s ever seen. Ignoring the furniture that looked like some expensive antique from an old antique shop. Riley forced her back against the headboard while taking in her environment. “Yeah…that handsome guy-” Riley’s eyes widened in horror after recalling everything that’s happened to her before she ended up in that room like some nobleman’s house from the 1800s. The furniture was not just carefully crafted but elegantly designed retaining vibrant furnished wood colour, while Riley would love to stay and admire the strange room she found herself in, she knew she needed to get out of there, all her senses kept telling her to run but the moment she stepped the ground she felt something strange that had her instantly glancing down at her tummy and what she saw had her screaming in shock. The door burst open to reveal Winter, properly clad this time in a black dress-up shirt and grey Chisos pants and he looked kinda anxious, there was someone right next to him though, a face Riley hasn’t seen before. Someone who probably wouldn’t lose out with Winter in a beauty contest, they were both beautiful men but Riley wondered if it was even possible. “Are you okay?” The unknown guy asked moving closer almost immediately. “You…what did you do to me?” Riley forced the words out of her mouth after forcing her eyes away from the brown dude in front of her. Not only does he have chestnut brown eyes, his hair was golden brown and his skin was brown as well…he was practically brown all over but his beauty would still stand out amongst all the men Riley was familiar with. “Oh…sorry about my friend here, he doesn’t exactly have people skills, I will explain the situation to you so please calm down, I can feel your entire body vibrating” The man smiled. “Calm down? You kidnapped me and do some crazy s**t on my tummy and now it’s like this” Riley eyed them both suspiciously but Winter remain indifferent, not even a hint of remorse could be found in his pretty sapphire eyes. “Sorry. The name’s Terran…and you are?” Terran asked with a warm smile but that didn’t stop Riley from suspiciously glaring at him, not that Terran minded. “Riley…my name’s Riley” Riley answered timidly eyes constantly moving from Terran to the still Winter who looked rather bored by her display. “I know you’re confused right now, but allow me to explain the situation to you” Riley’s eye twinkled with curiosity, it was obvious she wanted to know everything about her current situation. “I’m sure you know my friend here” Terran gestured to Winter who had now slipped his hands into his pockets while Terran do the explaining. “So…Apparently, you and Winter spent some chummy night together and he ended up leaving something really important inside of you that night- “It’s not that important” Winter cut in sharply. “Shut up will you?” Terran snapped back. “So, as I was saying” He continued. “He left a part of himself inside you…I know you find this all really weird but trust me I’m gonna explain everything you want to know- “I still don’t understand, what could he have left inside me? Why is…why is my stomach like this? What did he do to me? Just who are you, people?” Terran groaned softly after being bombarded with a series of questions. “Let me be straight with you Riley. You’re pregnant…with a dragon egg” ------
