Alpha's Queen - Chapter Seventeen

~HIS SIDE~

Suddenly her eyes caught a few stuffed animals, she took one in her hand and asked Ashley while smiling “isnt this one cute?”

“yes, its a black wolf, its way too cute” Ashley told her while mind-linking me ‘black wolf is cute, uh?’

“it suits you” i told her

Mate smiled and took it saying “and this one is for me”

~HER SIDE~

They insisted in walking me home, they kept making excuses why i shouldnt go alone, first was because it was dark, then it was because i had too many bags to carry and Viktor was already carrying some so they would just keep walking with me, so eventually i stopped arguing and accepted their offer…  when we got to my door i asked if they wanted to come inside, they nodded and i let them in, i knew i had everything safe, either photos with my family or any papers from the country, there was just one photo at the hallways, one big photo that was covering all wall, in the photo was me and Riley, two five years-old kids smiling in the back of my house, near the trees that led to the woods…

“wow, your house is perfect, so spacious and everything is in place and clean” Ashley said astonished “where are your parents?”

“oh, i live alone”

“sorry” they all looked at me like i had commited some crime

“hey, dont make that face! I’ve been living alone for seven years now and im fine! Would you like something to drink?”

“water please” Viktor said

I went to get him his water while they all went to sit in the living room, when i was going back to the living room i saw them all watching the photo in the hallway

“here you are! Here is your water” i said as i gave Viktor his glass with water

“who is it?” James asked me

“who?”

“in the photo” Viktor said

“oh, thats me, and thats Riley” i said pointing out to the kids in the photo “we were five at the time

“so Riley is your childhood friend?” asked Ashley smiling

Everything went silence for a while, i was thinking if i should tell them or not… before i knew it i was opening my mouth and with a painned voice and a bitter smile said “no…that… thats Riley, my twin brother”

I noticed i had gotten the mood way too depresing so as soon as those words left my mouth i put the thought at the back of my head and smiled at them saying “oh, thats right, i didnt show you around… where are my manners?! Would you like to see around the house?”

Viktor answered first saying if i didnt mind so i started “okay, you already saw the kitchen, this room here is the living room” happy to giving them the tour around the house i kept on going, the living room was big, it had a big piano in one corner, a long couch with a tv on the wall right in front of it and a table between the two, at the end of the livingroom was a Bookshelf full of books.

After took them around the house, followed by the bathroom at the end of the hall and the Office besides it, then we went upstairs and ended their tour in my room, i didnt show them any of the rooms besides mine since they are basicly the same, just the decoration changes, once at my door i turn to them and say before opening the door “so, the other rooms are the same, this one is mine” i drop the bags of the shopping i did today on the bed “what do you think?”

“your house is really big! Specially if you live alone! Oh, i love your decoration!” Ashley said

“thank you” i said as i was putting my new stuffed wolf on the top of my desk. My room had one wall colored light-pink, and all others white, one queen sized bed filled with stuffed animals, also had a Bookshelf with my college books and besides it there was a desk with my pc open, on top of it, on the wall there was a pinboard with photos of everyone i considered my friend, also had private bathroom and a walk-in closet.

“oh, you’re putting the wolf on top of the desk while all others are in the bed?” Viktor asked

His question got me by surprise, never knew he would even notice that “oh yes, well, like that he will be turned to the bed, whatching out for me.” I said with a big smile

“would you like to watch a movie or something? I know its kinda late already but since you walked me home…” i questioned them

“Yes!” they all said

I got a movie on my livingroom’s tv and we all sit on the couch, on my left was Viktor and on my right was AShley and then James.
