"For our last auction for tonight. Ladies and Gentlemen! Last but not the least, a Nefertari's bracelet!" The emcee introduced the auction being held that night. The bracelet was taken out behind the stage. The whole venue is very classy.Security is also tight, so you can't just bring weapons. Well, not for me. "Everyone,it was made in 300 BC, Pharaoh's gift for his beloved wife Nefertari. It was a sign of his devoted and eternal love for his wife.. presenting a Nefertari's bracelet!" Emcee said. The light hit the bracelet and it sparkled like a diamond in the dark. The bracelet is really amazing to look at. "The price starts at two million dollars. Let's start the bidding," Many raised their numbers to give a big price. It looks like a lot of people are interested in the bracelet. "Three million dollars!" "Three point nine million dollars!" "Four million dollars!" "Five million dollars!" The people in the auction hall are really rich people. No one bats an eye at bidding a large amount. "Five point five million dollars!" "Six million dollars!" "Ten million dollars!" "One hundred million dollars!" An elderly man shouted from the upper part of the border. He was placed in the VIP seat. People fell silent suddenly. s**t! One hundred million dollars? "Going once, going twice? Everyone?" The emcee asked in the middle of the silence, but after a few minutes no one spoke to make a bid.Who will beat one hundred million dollars, right? "Okay everyone! Nefertari's bracelet sold for one hundred million dollars!" Announced by the emcee. "Congratulations Mr. Aguirre" he said. The other bidders applauded together. Nefertari's bracelet was sold. I was surprised when the emcee said the last name. Out of the darkness, stepped an old man with a proud smile on his face. I clenched my fist. The mask I wore could not hide the anger in my eyes as I stared at the old man. Manuel Aguirre. Of course, I know him well. Just seeing the pride on Manuel Aguirre's lips makes me want to go up on stage and wipe his smile off his face. The contours of the old Don's appearance are strict. No one would dare to fight him, but for me, my fear of old Aguirre has gone long. Now my hand is itching to kill him. "One hundred million isn't bad" commented Blanca, next to me. My spirit returned to the present. "What?" I asked. I forgot that Blanca was sitting next to me. "The bracelet has been sold. One hundred million. Where is your mind going, Klemea?" Blanca noticed. I took a deep breath to calm the anger building in my chest. "I'm sorry Blanca, I'm a bit sleepy" I excused. Can't think of any other reason. Blanca looked at me intently and spoke. "Alright, you go home first. I'll take care of the transaction of the bracelet. You look pale, Klemea. Are you okay?" Blanca commented. Ever since Blanca and I got to know each other, she has always been concerned about how I feel every day. It's like she's devoted to asking if I'm okay all the time. As long as there is a chance. I felt guilty. I have many secrets from my friend. I just don't want to involve her in the mess of my life. The two of us have been through a lot. I don't want to add more to that. I fixed the mess in my life. I don't want to be a burden to Blanca. "Can you transact alone?" I asked to be sure. I feel guilty again if I leave her here. We came here together. We should also go home together. "I always do this, Klemea. I wouldn't expect anything from you because you are hot-headed with the people you talk to". Blanca smirked "Yeah, yeah, you don't have to tell me that" I said. Rolling my eyes upward. "Get some rest when you get home, or you'll go somewhere else?" "I'm going straight home, don't worry", I said goodbye before standing up from the chair. When I got to the parking lot of the auction hall, I stopped walking. I saw Manuel Aguirre going in his own car. The old man was guarded by only two people. I'm really lucky. Maybe his assistant took care of the transaction of the bracelet. I feel even luckier because I haven't removed my mask from my face yet. If I kill that Aguirre now, no one will see me. But that's not what I'm going to do today. I want to give him a serious body wound. His blood will flow on the cement and he will end up in the hospital. He won't taste the pain if I kill him right away. I'd better torture the old man little by little. From the darkness I took out the small knife from my thigh. I will be in trouble because of wearing a gown. It depends on what happens later. Let's see. "Son, what are you doing here? Why aren't you with your Mommy? Did something happen?" said Manuel Aguirre. I stopped walking when I heard what Aguirre said. Son? Does he have a child? Why didn't I see his son when I was spying on him? Manuel's cell phone rang and he said goodbye to his son to talk to his wife first. I can't imagine what Manuel Aguirre's son looks like. It was too dark in the parking area, and I never heard his son respond. I just decided to follow the old man. It's too far from the car. No bodyguards followed. I guess they trust in the place that no one will threaten the life of their boss. I slowly followed the old Don. Be careful not to make any noise. Because it was dark, his bodyguards didn't notice me. I don't even know where his son's now. When I had the right distance from the old Don, I raised the knife in my hand. I was about to thrust the dagger at the old man when someone pulled me from behind. I couldn't scream because he was holding my mouth. The other hand of the person holding my wrist where my knife was. He puts pressure on me to let go of the knife. His grip on my wrist hurts so much. He pushed me hard against the pillar of the parking lot away from old Don. "Hmmmp.." I couldn't speak. His hand is still covering my mouth. "Who are you? Who ordered you to kill my Father?" the one holding me asked emphatically. His voice seemed familiar. I remembered the handsome man in the unit next to me. But that is impossible. Maybe there are many similar voices in the world. I coughed. The hand that was holding my mouth moved to my neck.. He used his arm and pressed me against the wall. I'm choking. I think whoever it is intends to kill me. "Answer me! Who ordered you!?" The tone of his voice was dangerous. I was terrified. It's my second time to feel that. The first is when my parents and Sister Klara die. "L-let me go.." I said while coughing. I'm short of breath. If he doesn't let go of me, I will be out of breath.I can't die now. I'm going to get revenge on Manuel Aguirre first before I go to the grave. "Who ordered you?" He asked again. He loosened the arm around my neck a little. But that wasn't enough for me to breathe easily. "Let go of me!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. Trying to remove his arm from my neck. I can only use one hand. My other hand was still held by the man. "I'll kill you before I let you go!" The man seemed to be sure of what he said. I clung to his arm and tried to remove it from my neck. Based on the arm I felt in the dark, it was muscular. It's like an iron stranglehold on me. My one hand that the man was holding didn't have the strength, causing the knife I was holding to fall. It rang on the pavement. The man was a little distracted. His grip on me loosened. That's my cue. I made myself kick the guy. Even in the dark, I knew where it was. He stuttered at what I did and completely loosened his hold on me.I had a chance to run fast. I didn't even look back. I have to get out of here. I couldn't call Blanca because my phone was in the car.I couldn't ask a friend for help. I ran as fast as if it was my last life even though I was wearing a gown. If the man catches me, he will definitely kill me for good. I'm already sweating and feeling tired. I'm out of breath from running. I heard a gunshot ring from the dark side of the parking lot. I didn't look back. At the same time as the gun went off, I felt a small pain. Ugh.. A bullet penetrated my waist and, due to the force of the impact, I rolled on the pavement. Holding the injured part, I screamed in pain. That pain went to my core. I tried to stand up to escape but I just fell to the floor. My whole body is weak. My eyelids started to feel heavy. f**k! I can't pass out. I heard footsteps approaching my place. Looks like it's the end of me now. The man caught up with me.I was face down on the floor and didn't move. I feel that if I move I will be killed by the man. Even in the dark, I can feel that there is a lot of my blood spread on the cement floor. Maybe that's why I feel weak. "Is she dead, Boss?" said a voice. I heard no response. I only heard footsteps. I tried to look at the man's appearance but I was frustrated because this part of the parking lot was so dark. My eyes slowly closed. My body couldn't take the pain until I passed out. Darkness engulfed my consciousness.
