CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN THE NEXT MORNING Waking up the next morning, my head felt like I had been hit by a sledgehammer, and my mouth like I had cotton balls in it. Opening my eyes slowly, I spotted a glass of water and two Tylenol tablets on my end table. One of them must have brought them this morning. Gabbing them, I tossed them in my mouth and swallowed them down with the water and waited a few minutes to allow them to begin working. Deciding that I might as well get it over with, I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom to get in the shower. Afterward, getting dressed, and brushing my teeth, I can't, unfortunately, put this off any longer. Leaving my room and heading downstairs, I realize that the house was quiet.
