CHAPTER TWENTY
GIVING UP
ALEX
Visiting Mary and Tina at the last minute, because I'm so mad right now at every last one of them if I don't speak to them," I'm probably going to end up throwing something at the guy's thick heads. I'm so over their games, they're doing nothing but mind f*****g me.
"Fight for them, Alex," Mary says to me as I'm crying on her shoulder.
"They don't want me."
"Come on, Alex. You won't believe that. Those boys have loved you for as long as they've known you. I think they're scared, and if you don't fight for them, you will regret it for the rest of your life. You guys are my best friends. I'd do anything I could for either of you. But you deserve to be happy Alex, you deserve love, you deserve someone great. And Alex, those six boys are something great." She tells me. "They will always love you and take care of you," Tina speaks up then and says, "Go out on a date with someone that will take care of their hot/cold attitude. Call Scott, he will take you out."
"I don't need a pity date, I want the guys to know they can't take advantage of me."
Mary and Tina both burst out laughing, "Scott, giving you a pity date, Alex, that boy has been infatuated with you for forever, give him a call."
Deciding to consider the ideal, she called Scott. Just like they said, he was more than happy to take her out for a night on the town. Now I just have to tell the guys.
Making the decision to talk to them, I need them to understand what they are doing to my heart and my feelings. Leaving the room, I went in search of them. Finding all six of them in the living room as she storms in. "We need to talk."
All six of them looked up, seeing that she was obviously upset about something, having a pretty good ideal what. Flynn turned off the TV and Blake put his cell phone down as all six of the guys gave her their complete attention. "OK, what's on your mind?" Andrew said as he also put his paperwork down.
Taking a deep breath and looking at them all before continuing. "You guys are on my mind, actually."
Andrew raises his brow and states, "Really, elaborate please."
"I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm going out tonight. I have a date, so if any of you have any plans, I will be out. Please don't wait up." I said before turning to go back upstairs.
Before I could go too far, Andrew's voice spoke up, "You're what? A date, with who?"
"I'm going out for drinks with Scott, I went to school with him, he's a friend of mine, Mary, and Tina's, he's picking me up at 6." I state before turning and leaving the room.
For the first time, I shut and locked the bathroom door before getting into the shower. Getting ready for my date, I paid special attention to my makeup, wanting to make sure it was perfect tonight. Before leaving the room, I decided to take off the necklace that had marked me theirs. They needed to know I was being serious. Steadying my resolve, I left the room.
My lack of a necklace was noticed right away, the frown I received almost made me turn around to get it, almost.
Scott arrived promptly at 6, going to dinner and then drinks at a local bar. Scott was nice enough, but honestly, I've never been more bored in my life. "Hey Alex, isn't that one of your brothers?"
Looking up to where Scott was pointing, sure enough, there at the bar was Chance. A few yards away was Andrew, staring a hole right through Scotts forehead, just great. I can't believe they heard. I was hoping to have a good time tonight. Resigned, looking at Scott and saying "I'll be back"
Getting up from the table and walking over to Chance at the bar, "What are you two doing here?" I asked angrily. "You c**k blocking now?"
Looking from Scott to her, "Alex, you aren't the slightest bit interested in that pipsqueak, and you know it, why are you endangering that boy's health?"
Looking incredulous, "How is going out on a date with a friend endangering his health?"
Looking directly in my eyes he says, "Easy, that boy has just once tried to kiss you or put his hands on you, before one of us put him in the hospital, so yes his health is very much in danger, every second that he's with you."
Not believing any of this, "Are you serious right now?" Mad and nervous about the conversation that needed to happen, I continued. "Since I came home, there has been a change in the way you treat me, not that I want it to stop." ringing my hands, not sure if I'm saying this right or not, I try to continue. "You guys can't keep playing with my head, and my heart. You guys are giving me mixed signals. One minute you're hot, and flirty, and not able to keep from touching me. Next, you guys are cold and distant. I've been stupidly in love with all of you since I first saw you, and you all know it. You don't seem to want to admit to wanting me, and you're actually following through with that, even though none of you seem to be able to keep your hands to yourself. But you also act like a bunch of cavemen when you hear of me dating anyone. You never let me in, but you sure as s**t won't allow anyone else to let me in either. Do any of you think that is fair? I've been saving myself for you. Did you know that? No more. If you don't want me, I will find someone or maybe a few some ones who will want me. I'm going home after I leave here. Don't be surprised by the moans you are going to hear coming from my room tonight. I'm totally going to be masturbating." I said angrily, storming back to Scott.
Getting home later that night, I slammed the front door shut and turned to storm to my bedroom. Before I do so, I'm stopped by Doug, who looks at me like he's about to say something. I immediately hold my hand up, "Don't say a f*****g word Doug." as I head upstairs where I shut and locked my door. Stripping my clothes off, I head to my bed, pulling out my battery-operated boyfriend. Laying down nude, turning on my bullet and placing it on my c**t and shutting my eyes to dissolve in bliss. Angry with the events of the night and with them in particular.
