"Hello Sir," Emily's voice was cracking as she began to speak on the phone. "Miss Emily, how are you doing?" The director answered, his tone sounding sharp, evidence that he was happy to hear from her. "I have a request, Sir," Emily said with a low voice, scratching her head. Her hands were evidence of nervousness. "Please, go ahead, Emily." Replied the director, anticipating what help she might need. "Put my exam on hold, I will travel over to write it as early as possible," Emily said with a nervous voice, but her face looked confident. "Okay, I will inform the Examination center to put your examination on hold." The Director replied with a satisfying voice. Emily's examination is scheduled for 10 am in London, and the same day is her wedding to Andrew at 9 am here in California. She must have a plan on how to beat the time. >> Andrew came down to Emily's house, it was 6:25 pm. He came over to take her out to get her well-prepared for the wedding the following day. Andrew is a lover of fashion and he wants her to be in her best shape and to wear the best wedding gown. That should give him the spotlight and be the talk of the city. Andrew barged into the living room like a landlord of the house without knocking. Startled by the appearance of Andrew, Emily spoke with fear in her voice, "Do you barge into people's houses like that!?" Said Emily, looking at Andrew with a furious face. "I can walk into anybody's house as I wish." He answered with an arrogant attitude, his tone unremorseful. Andrew walked towards Emily who was seated on one of the sofas and watching TV in the living room. "Are you always like this are.." Emily spoke but paused, her eyes slowly narrowed as she tried to control her mouth. Andrew stared at her before he spoke, "... arrogant!? No, I am not but I like to call it confidence. It is one of the benefits of being rich." He said, pocketing his hands into his blue jeans that he wore with a white T-shirt. Emily sat on her sofa quietly, staring at him with an annoying face. "What do you want?" She finally spoke. "Let's go shopping. I need to get you properly ready for our big wedding tomorrow." Andrew spoke confidently. He reaches out his hand to Emily for her to hold before coming with him. Emily looked at him hopelessly before holding his hand to stand up but she felt a little pain in her leg. "Are you alright?" Said Andrew, supporting her to stand well. Emily nodded her head while it stayed bowed. Holding tightly to her crutches. Andrew held her hand and they moved out of the living room before heading for the wedding gown shop. >>> At exactly 7:00 am on the wedding day, Mr Simon walked into Emily's room to see if she was getting ready for the wedding. But to his greatest surprise, Emily was nowhere to be found. His heart skipped a beat. He began to search for her. "Emily, where are you." He kept yelling as he searched the house but he couldn't find her. Mr Simon walked into the garden to search for Emily and with shock, he found her sitting alone in her wedding gown. . The cold touch of the grass massages her naked feet as she swings back and forth on the swinger. "There you are, dear." Mr Simon said happily, his tone sounding confident. He walked up to her before bringing the swinger to a halt and joined her. "What's wrong dear?" He asked, arching his brow in confusion. Emily handed him a white short slip without looking at him. Her face was sad, she felt heavy in her heart and then tears began to roll down her cheeks. Mr. Simon took the slip from her hand and saw it was a flight ticket. He looked at her and was surprised. "What is this?" He asked with curiosity, raising his eyebrows. "I am going to write my Examination Dad," Emily said before bursting out with tears. "Hey..hey... It's okay." Mr Simon said, holding her head before placing it on his chest. "Don't cry my dear one, it's okay. Everything will be alright." He said, patting her on her back. "Okay, here is my promise, I will make sure you write your examination but first let's get you wedded and then, I will personally take your hands and travel with you to write your final paper. " Said Mr Simon, smiling at his daughter. Emily couldn't believe her dad, "Are you serious, Dad?" She asked, trying to wipe her tears. "Yes, of course, Emily ." He answered with an assuring voice. "Thank you, Daddy." Emily hugged her dad tightly, smiling profusely. "Now let's get you well dressed up, we have a wedding to attend." He said before getting her up. >>> Andrew was standing by the altar, waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle. It was almost time and Emily is yet to show up. Andrew and the guest were already getting tensed up. Different thoughts ran through his mind, "what if she had run away? Or is she faking another ailment or pregnancy?" He mumbled to herself softly. It was past nine O'clock and Emily is yet to appear. Andrew is running out of patience and has become angry already. He hates it when someone does not keep to time. He was about to walk away when suddenly, a female figure appeared in the church. He raised his head and saw it was Emily. He felt a big relief wash over his heart. "Finally, she is a bear." He mumbled with a thick voice. His face is a bit relaxed but still angry at her delayed attitude. Emily walked down the aisle and stood before Andrew. Her face was covered by a veil. Andrew couldn't see her face but she could. He tried so hard to stare into it but couldn't see anything. "What is he doing," Emily mumbled to herself, staring at him with hateful eyes. "I hope she is the one," he thought to himself before the priest brought him back to reality. The priest recited the vow and both parties agreed to marry each other in good health and worse. "You may kiss your .." the priest said but Andrew was already ahead of his words. He took off the veil and saw it was Emily and without hesitation kissed her deeply. Emily mumbled a bit, ". " Shouldn't it be taken too easily? It was almost time for her final examination and they were still at the wedding venue. Emily began to feel nervous. She couldn't concentrate on the picture being taken. She looked everywhere for her Dad but he was nowhere to be found. Then she sighted the mayor but before she could reach out to him, Andrew held her by the arm, dragging her closer to his body. "If you are thinking of running away to go write your examination, sorry but that won't be possible. " He said with a thick low voice barely above whisper. Emily was shocked, how did he know? She didn't mention that to him. And how did he know she had an examination to write today? Andrew smiled at her. "Are you surprised, I have ears everywhere." He said, chuckling gently in a mischievous way. "And one more thing," he said before he paused. "There is a condition attached to this wedding." He added. Emily's eyes widened, "what condition?" She asked with a curious voice. "You will find out when we get home." Said Andrew with a thick voice. He smiled at her before posing her for a picture
